A PETA investigator found them doing a bunch of bad things...

Our undercover investigator documented cruelty to animals at a Missouri slaughterhouse owned by George's, Inc.—a KFC "Supplier of the Year"—including the following:

* Workers were throwing live chickens.

* Metal dumping machines were crushing birds to death.

* Birds' limbs were impaled on the broken bars of metal cages, and workers were instructed simply to yank the birds out. The investigator also found severed limbs left in cages after they had been emptied.

* Workers were hitting chickens with metal poles in order to move the birds when they got stuck in the spring-loaded cage doors.

In one morning, PETA's investigator saw roughly 50 "red birds"-chickens who enter scalding-hot defeathering tanks while they are still conscious.

Kind KFC chickens are stupid (seriously): they sit there and allow you to kick them; there's no need for chasing because they don't struggle at all when you try to catch them. They're a sad breed :/ and don't do much good for your body I'm thinking (definitely not with the way they're prepared). You can tell when a chicken's been beaten.

As for those of you who enjoy KFC chicken, might I recommend buying a live free-range chicken and killing it yourself? xD You might be a bit put off by the idea of having to kill it yourself (or having someone else do it) but in the end, if you've learned how to de-feather and cook the bird properly, you'll be surprised by how much better a high quality bird can taste.

So you don't eat chicken then? It's either you kill it yourself after being sure that it's taken care of, or buy it from some place where it's shoved into a cage with countless over chickens only after being kicked around by its handlers.
