There are around 400 inactive members in this clan (inactive being less than 10 posts). Maybe even more than that. Some haven't even posted since last year! There are only around 60 devoted members in this clan (devoted being 100 or more posts). And there are those who are in between 10-99 posts (I being 1 of them). I shall suggest something. To forget all about gardens. There are far too little members for that. As far as I know there r probably around 150 REAL members in this clan posting all the time. I know some of you have school, but you can put aside a few minutes just posting a message, right? You wouldn't have to play RS, just participate in the forums. Think about it. Join SeeD into one!
EDIT: I have just found out that around 180 members have posted 10 or more messages. Some have only posted that much since last year.

It's an idea, but that is the same thing as saying ,"Take away gardens. The end." We need some kind of organazation, or else the whole thing could go kablooie. We're currently working on a new garden system, so just be patient and wait for that grnwink.gif

Yeah, and until then it doesn't really make a difference. We never talk in the gardens anyway, we talk in the main forums. What difference would it make if we got rid of Gardens?

The automated member list is fairly new and over 360 members registered THEMSELVES during this time. Only three were auto-registered because I know them in real life or Runescape somehow, but everyone else registered on their own since a few months ago. We sent a notice to no one, which means that everyone had to visit the site to find out about the new list on their own. Along with this, in a matter of a week of being on the RS Toplist, we took first place in the total number of votes. We're still on top with over 200 votes, and we've only been on the list for a few weeks.

Also, something else to think about is that the largest single clan (not alliance like E.A.R.T.H.) that we know of has around 270 members, and that clan was in existence at least a few months before we started. I have proof that SeeD is active every time I turn off my PM block, which is what prevents me from turning it off usually.

I'm not angry, but we've stated on numerous occasions, both on the main site and forums, that our activity should not be judged by how many use the forums. Feel free to talk about our inactivity, but please don't use our forums as a basis for your conclusions.

Also, we have Gardens for a reason. Without Gardens our leadership would be first in command, second in command, all the way down to where Commanders are currently. This means that there would be a whole mess of members with the same ranks, and no one will know who they should answer to (as long as we don't give everyone their own ranks, going all the way down to something like "52nd in Command", which no one will remember). A clan with no organizational structure will fall apart once it reaches 100 members. Therefore, the creation of Gardens divides the clan into smaller "sub-clans" which can organize their own events, have their own policies, and help each other. If Gardens were dissolved, leadership would also be very difficult. The weight of the entire clan would fall on the shoulders of fewer leaders, therefore decreasing its efficiency and overall activity.

An upcoming Garden update will increase their activity, but they will not be dissolved.

Cspace liked my garden suggestion, but, "Mr. Percentage", how much of my idea will be implemented? And if having like 8 or 9 gardens per cluster is too much, we could have 3 main gardens per cluster, and 2 sub gardens in each garden. This allows more of a renking system, and won't allow your comment "By the way, your rank will increase in the next update, but I lost it, what is it again?" to happen TheSmile.gif

The message I sent for Cspace might be allowed to be shown if he approves TheSmile.gif

I think that gardens are a good idea although they lack interaction. We should have Garden meetings on a certain basis.

At the moment, I agree. Gardens are currently mostly just for sorting members, and to keep things from getting out of hand. But as we've said numerous times, there will be a new garden system soon.
