Six years after our beginning in the forests of Lumbridge, one can look back at all our past accomplishments: Our high points, our challenges, our goals, and our successes. There is no argument that thousands have come and gone in this time. Some came to enjoy our guild, others left their mark, and still today we are better because of it. Though many have left Runescape, many remain in our other factions. Our guild continues to be strong, but what of SeeD... Our original guild, and the reason the Arbiters' Order exists today?

-----------------------------------------

SeeD is down to a dedicated few.

Every one of our years has something that it's remembered for. 2001 was our beginning, 2002 was a bumpy ride to discover ourselves, 2003 was arguably our high-point, 2004 was riddled with conflicts, 2005 was when we expanded, and 2006 was when we lost the will to grow.

What will define 2007? We, the dedicated few, are all who remain. We can either be the last of SeeD, or the first of a new beginning. Is 2007 the end of the story, when we lose the fire that defined us, and only memories are left to remain? Or is 2007 going to be remembered as our second struggle, with goals and a new fire like that which we had in 2002?

It's up to us, the few who remain of SeeD. Our numbers shouldn't be discouraging... If anything, the possibilities should excite you. The New SeeD is coming if we wish to build it. You can be a part of it, and be remembered very well as one of the few who saved our guild.

-----------------------------------------

There will be a day when we lose our will... A day when we leave behind all that we built, and a day when we bring the ultimate closure to SeeD. When it's no more, and never will be again.

It will happen, someday. It will be a sad day indeed...

But today's not that day. SeeD can have a new beginning! If we who remain decide that we will have a better tomorrow, then it's your guild to mold. It's always been, but not to this extent since 2002. You can give SeeD a second shot at being a clan, and with all we have behind us, we can go well beyond our high-point in 2003.

To keep the fire burning, and to finally realize our ultimate goal...

As a shameless double-post to say the obvious...

Of course I'm in. I don't really have personal ambitions in Runescape, but I'm always game to help with SeeD. thumb.gif

Wow, this topic kinda depressed me a bit _sure.gif

I was damn close to leaving runescape permanently, but this month's updates may be a good reason to stay, so as far as SeeD's concerned, I'll do everything I can. thumb.gif

Not that I'm in (or that I should be here in the first place), but while remembering the old times between the Rebels and SeeD, it's surprising how quiet it has grown here.

Well, good luck with your endeavors.

I agree, although here's another question: What's our basis for expansion?
I mean, it used to be RS, but not a lot of people care about that anymore, and we are spread out too thinly amongst other games to really make an impact.

I say there needs to be another focus area - it doesn't have to be a specific game, but we could, for example, follow an idea or belief and build our community upon that. The first thing that comes to mind is an anti-hacker community, which I see has plenty of room for development and expansion.

If we are going to renew things then we need to recruit more and more people. Even though we have dedicated people here it is not enough to grow. So we need to go out, maybe set a day, and have a recruiting party and have a goal to recruit so many people so SeeD can grow.

SeeD is our Runescape faction, not our overall guild anymore (at least in name, the change happened while you were gone). This thread is only about Runescape. thumb.gif

The Arbiters' Order (from DS) is the new name for our overall guild. The change was made to prevent naming confusion with other factions, and also due to a few other circumstances at the time. Overall we don't really have problems, we're pretty active in Guild Wars and elsewhere. It's just in Runescape that we lost support.

Yes, this is exactly it. A few of us have the idea that we need to be "active first", but if we don't have enough, there's no point in creating an illusion. We need to recruit, keep using our clan chat, and just keep doing things that a guild is supposed to do. We'll be increasingly active, and not as an illusion but as actual growth.

Everyone needs to realize the need for recruiting. thumb.gif
