I just recently got into the whole Country music thing, Always hated it until I heard some song by Joe Diffie called Put me up beside the Jukebox when I die, Yeah country songs have names as long as most emo bands, but its a decent song. So I was just wonderin if anyone could point me in the direction of their favorite country songs and artists, Ive ran out of the basics like Tim Mcgraw and all, and if anyone would like any music in return Id gladly post some. Much appreciated all, And too my old SeeD friends, Miss ya all bluetongue.gif

Give Neko Case a try. She's more "Americana" than "Country-Western" (and her older stuff is very country... think Patsy Cline or Loretta Lynn, or maybe a female Johnny Cash), with some darker elements (the term "country noír" has been thrown around).

Full-length samples...

Furnace Room Lullaby (2000)
Blacklisted (2002) (my second-favorite of her albums)
The Tigers Have Spoken (2004) (live set... mostly covers, though the two samples here are originals, and unreleased otherwise)
Fox Confessor Brings the Flood (2006) (one of my favorite albums, period.)
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.
