I won't say anything positive or negative about signing onto CurvedSpace at school. There are times when it won't get in the way of work, and times when it could... It's not my problem. You can do it if you want. bluetongue.gif I know the value of a decent arcade site when I finish with a computer assignment, but that's another matter.

So what's the "reminder"?

REMEMBER TO CLICK "LOG OUT" WHEN YOU'RE DONE. Uncheck "remember me" as a lifeline if you lose connection (but don't rely on it, still "log out" when you're done). There are those who will scroll through a browser's history and mess with other people's sessions. I saw it happen on other sites when I was in high school, and I've seen the effects of it once or twice here when members' accounts got jacked at their school. It's not something you want to happen.

By far my best suggestion is to create a secondary account for use at school... Then you won't have much to worry about. Still remember to log out though. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif

The second account suggestion is bad.
The same things would happen except most people would forget who your main is.

I like to click on ads of websites that I go to in school so I can give them money.

Also may I note that cspacezone is blocked in my school becouse of me :/.
No one goes it to in my school though

That incident was something I could stand to forget. Dunno how severely it's burned into my mind.
Secondary accounts isn't a bad thing. It's be really hard for people to get you confused or forget. Stuffy does it, and we all know who he is.

Just like I'd make an account "Res at school" or something to that affect.
School accounts aren't a bad idea. In case the off chance we DO have another problem like the one we had, it can be handled easily and quickly.
Just be sure you don't give it the same password as your main account.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

The second account could sound like your main one. Most who do this include their main display name somewhere in the name so it's obvious. thumb.gif

As for why a second account is good... It will protect your main account so a person won't destroy your blog, gallery, profile, inbox, or other similar things that would tend to be vandalized.

Anyway, I probably will never get the chance. sad.gif

I love my AP Computer Science teacher. My school's really strict on computer use, but when I jack in my USB Mass Storage Device, run Firefox mobile, check my email, and come to this site, all he says is "oh, that's neat that you have Firefox on your flash drive."

Hah. Most ironically, the school system has given all 9th and 10th graders laptops. The bad thing is... They all have keyloggers on them.

(The great part is they give themselves away with an icon that says "KGB keylogger" in the system tray. Complete with a hammer and sickle icon.)

<3 Yeah.

Accessing others accounts is not a good thing. And after the whole Kaiser incident, we want to make sure it NEVAR HAPPENS AGAIN.
Evar.

Plus, if we ALL did it, CurvedSpace would get a quick flush of 'new members'.

Edit: WAO, OBI! FOR REAL?1 I think you're full of it what the hammer and sickle. Pics or it didn't happen.
And to keyloggers pick up C&P text?

I'm not sure honestly. My friends and I were gonna mess with it, to see if it picked up the accessability on-screen keyboard, and various other stuffs. I'll take a pic if you want. It's pretty funny.

Wow, that's pretty bad Obi. Back at my old school they just triangulated your position and chased you down if you did something wrong.

... Well, it happened once, anyway. I saw a couple of admin guys walking around looking for people with laptops to see who was hosting a peer-to-peer wireless network, they seemed to have a pretty good idea where it was originating from. bluetongue.gif
