What do you think? bluetongue.gif

I'd say imaginary numbers. Yeah, they have theoretical purposes, but I've yet to find a single practical use for them. grnwacko.gif

Algebra is easy.

But the way I do it pisses of my Pre-Calculus teacher. Im making a %70 in that class just because of how I think. If I fail Im going to get her fired... there are many others having the same problems with this woman.

Edit for clarification:
I should have about a %98 in that class.

There are lots of subjects that have very specialized applications. For instance, calculus, evolution, and history are completely useless in a majority of people's lives. That is not to say they should not be taught, though. Education is not the filling of a bucket; rather, it is the kindling of a flame. I thirst for knowledge, despite me knowing that most of this knowledge is useless to me.

Oh, and I despise matrices.

Don't really -teach- it, but a certain class at my school requires it right now. When converting units and numbers, one must not change 32 1/8 and 24 7/8 to 32.125 and 24.875, one must multiply and divide them in fraction form. If one changes it to decimal form, it will be wrong.

... Because when I'm older, I'll really be so thrilled by fractions, that I'll pointedly -not- use the more convenient way.

Oh! P.E. in general!

They don't teach PE.

The only time the "teach" you anything, is when they teach you to play a new game.

If all my teachers would teach me to play games, school wouldn't be ~that~ bad..... Theoretically

And -some- teachers don't even teach the sport very well at all! Like at my last school, the teacher simply assumed everyone was already familiar with the rules and everything, and then send us on our way. Or they'd explain some stuff, but not the main rules.

It was a great annoyance. "Excuse me, but I do not spend my time watching football. EXPLAIN NOW. EVERYTHING. *Twitch*"

P.E. is awesome as. bluetongue.gif

Although not when we had Slocum for the last half of 4th form, he just screwed up P.E. and gave everyone blisters and a burning desire to see him fired.

I'm pretty sure finding the unknown x is useless, although so is finding the disciminant of a quadratic polynomial. Seriously, double-you tee eff? eek7.gif

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^
