Um... I really don't know... but I'll give a guess...
It keeps salt out of the eyes while swimming. Alligators can live in brackish water, right? :/

No, they don't need it for that either. They can indeed spend time in brackish water, but they much prefer freshwater.

What would happen to ethanoic acid if I added PCl5 to it and when this product is combined with propanol what product would this form?

Nope... I will give you the first answer its ethyl chloride giving it very similar chemistry to ethanoic acid the next answer is an ester. Just name the correct nomenclature for it and you have it grnwink.gif

Just to stop the agony, I'll answer the rest of the question.

The final product would be propyl ethanoate. It ain't ethyl propanoate because propanol is the alcohol part of the ester.

Mmm, fruity smells....
EDIT: We all know the sole use of chloroform is to knock people out and kidnap them...or at least, it is if you believe tinsel town. And after my chem lab last Monday, I'm convinced that the sole use of pure ammonia is to make me choke and completely overload my poor nose. That stuff reeks.

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)

Through our bleeding we are one.
