well, i own both a ps2 and a gamecube as well, and played xbox to boot. ps2 has a great range of games, with plenty coming out all the time. as for gamecube, not all games are childish. i mean, i wont deny there are some pretty stupid games on it *cough cough animal crossing cough cough*, but it does also have some good games such as zelda and soul caliber. now onto xbox. yes the graphics are good, yes, its powerful, but frankly, i dont think its all that good.
and not that it has anything at all to do with it, but just compare the controllers here for a second. ps2 has a decent controller, with lots of variations for sale. gcn has the best controller of any system. ever. and im even going back to atari here (still got one packed away in the cupboard grnwink.gif ). but who in the world invented xboxs controller? i mean, it has, what, two directional pads? now exactly what is the point of that?

so, in conclusion: xbox can go to ****. as for which to get first, its a matter of choice. gcn is more of a 'fun' console, and ps2 is, well, everything mixed in together. so i have to say ps2.

oh by the way Dart060, nintendo may have died when it comes to n64, but exactly how is it dying when it comes to gcn? and i agree with leftyy, most xbox games can be found on other consoles INCLUDING gamecube!
