Some people find it distasteful that you're using precious resources just to chat on your computer, and that anything you buy helps promote some huge corporation that's just abusing the world, and the people in china or something, but it doesn't mean I'm going to not play games all day, and buy a coke or get a double-bacon-cheese burger anytime I damn well feel like it. =\

Unreal, I realize that. It it merely a personal opinion, which I chose to voice. I am by no means declaring it the sole idea that must be followed by everyone.

Still, they're probably public restrooms, or something, and not sure how your team works, but if the coach tells us to get some water, you're never going to have enough time to haul your {expletive antidisestablishmentarianized by Cspace} down to the center-sideline where the restrooms are and take a spit, we can barely get to the "cow" that's conveniently placed just outside of our training area before our coach starts yelling at us.

I dare you to join the football team, and when the coach tells y'all to get some water, you head towards the bathroom, you'll be doing 50 updowns before you're halfway to the bathroom.

You know, Hit-its, Greenbays...

It's in like every football movie, the team's shuffling their feet, the coach blows the whistle, and you slam to the ground and instantly jump back up.

It's conditioning and a form of punishment, remember you have like 30+ pounds of extra equipment on top of you, and you're smacking your chest straight to the ground, and you have to get up instantly.

It doesn't sound like much, but after the 15th or so, you start to tire pretty easily.

I do agree that there should be more focus on other aspects of school as well as sports. :/

They did cheer leading thing, and a drumline-esqe show, and both failed pretty miserably.

I'd like to see shows like that for other things, but honestly, there's close to no real audience open to it.

Interesting fact: The ground they play on is Astro turf. That means it's solid underneath, so all of the dipwashed spit accumulates in an area.

Yeah, but you have to remember, I'm in Texas, we have the stuck-up southern-bells who play in the powderpuff teams, and we have the corn-fed girls who can out-bench/squat/hang cling more then most of the guys in their grade levels.

It depends on the field, our school's field is totally natural grass, but only JV and Freshman play there, for Varsity games we go to this big athletic center, their football field's amazing. Since we're basically just borrowing the field for our games, if we mistreat the field, the coach will chew us out in a heartbeat.
