How's It Going?

Hey everyone, its ticktock. I used to post here a ton; don't know if you remember. I'm a junior in high school now.
I stopped playing games a while ago. I'm more into that learning thing now, reading economics books and programming books in my free time. But I completely hate school now; that's a lot different than before.
I'm just popping in to ask Cspace a question, actually. I remembered that he used to work with SETI, which is a group dedicated to searching for extraterrestrials. I wanted to know what he thought of this, specifically the section "Why SETI will fail".
Hope you're all doing well.

Of course you hate school if you're a junior. Wait until next year. It gets better. I promise.
Good to hear from you again, though.
Good to hear from you again, though.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

I just started with the programming a little while ago. I already knew HTML/CSS, so I decided that Javascript would be a good extension of that. I was working around with C, but got sick with it fast. Yeah, so actually less programming, more economics/philosophy.

Dunno why. It was especially weird, considering the fact that I BEGAN school at Junior year, so never experienced 1st or 2nd. I'm thankful I didn't, though. Jr year is like... You're -almost- out, but you still have another year, plus that's when it all counts.
And as for programming... Feh. You're doing much better than I could.

Ticktock! Good to hear from you.
Programming is a pain in the butt. Fun when it actually works, but a pain in the butt.

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)
Through our bleeding we are one.

Heh. Coding is enjoyable for some people. Emphasis on some. And some languages are fun for some people, whereas others just don't mix.
Example: I love BASIC, and VB. Easy stuff, can even do networking things (Just the basics, a chat program and a tic-tac-toe game). HTML is decently easy to code with, but it doesn't entertain me. PHP/MySQL databasing is like "Wha?" and I back away from that.
Then again, I only dipped my foot. Back to C++!
Knuckles Avatar still, ticktock! /slap

What's funnier is that it still says "Retro Week", where we were supposed to revert to old avatars. I just kept the old one and never went back.
About me not liking school: my hatred is a lot deeper that "junior year sucks". I tried to convince my parents for three months to let me homeschool myself. It didn't work, but it opened me up to completely new ways of thinking.
And I stopped gaming. Wastes way too much time.
