Anyway from what I remember moderation is solely a forums thing, it has no standing within the Arbiter's Order like Tiers are meant to. So there's no reason why a mod should have a higher or lower tier compared with a regular member. It just happens that often it's the older members who are mods, and they've had more time to accumulate tiers (or the various systems that preceded it).

Let's stop. Tiers aren't about who's better than who else. They're awarded as seen fit. Not to say I HAS MOAR ZAN U.

Sure, you can compete for them, because you have to do something really up and standing for the community, so if everyone was competing on how awesome they could be, that's nothing that could have any sort of disapproval.
But you has to give loves to people anyways, whether thay has them or notz.
