[Cspace]

*A small band of mercenaries is approaching from the west. All are dressed in typical thief and mercenary gear. Probably not the kind of people one would want to run into.*


One of the mercenaries questions the leader...

"How are we going to find two sailors in this huge sand pile? It would take days to cross from any direction."

"Don't question it. It's in our contract, so this is what we have to do."

[Bashae]

Reikin finds the band of mercenaries, now back in his Aphorite form.

"Looks like I found the group I need..." he mutters.

He would require a group like this, albeit the fact that it was completely against his morals to assist such a suspicious group of people. But right now, all he needed was to find Ethan and Gero, find out what they are doing. But he needed to do so without attracting the attention of the two major nations... He could not afford to spook the two sailors.

He walks up rather casually towards them.

"You people look like you need a bit of help," he smirked.

[Cspace]

One of the mercenaries speaks to Reikin without turning to face him...

"No, we don't need help. Unless you can explain otherwise, I think we can handle two sailors once we find them. I don't think any of us wants to divide our payment any further."

[Bashae]

"Hmph... I require no cash," Reikin growled back at the mercenary. "While it does come in handy, I have my own reasons for pursuing the two sailors..." Just as his words leave his mouth, Reikin sensed the disturbance from a slight distance away.

Is it them? ...Probably is... However, I must try and convince these people to take me to them... Without assistance, I may never find them anyway.

"I don't think you realise how much trouble the two can cause... One of them took down a Corrorian ship and the artifact they possess, oh yes, I know about that as well, you don't know what could happen if you were to take it from them. Chances are nothing could happen. However, there's also a chance that something quite dangerous to you could occur as well. I suspect that tremor was a side effect from the artifact. Who knows what could happen if mishandled... You could create a large pool of quicksand and die without ever receiving a cinii for all your hard work. So I suggest you reconsider. There's nothing to lose is there? I can help you with your battles at no extra cost and should something happen, you'll have more hands to assist."

[Cspace]

The mercenary stops and turns to face Reikin.

"I don't trust you, but if you are asking for no payment, I guess there's no harm in letting you follow. Maybe you'll be useful if we encounter others seeking the same thing."

[Bashae]

"Well, I guess it is within your blood not to trust anyone... After all, you are a mercenary. Still, I appreciate that you are willing to let me go with you."

"So... Where to? I suggest in the direction of the tremor, although I doubt something will be there now."

[Cspace]

The mercenary shrugs.

"The source of the tremor would be a good place to go, but frankly I have no idea where it came from. Maybe they'll know in that desert village..."

[Bashae]

"To the Maldenar it is then..."

Reikin heads off towards Maldenar.
