i have recieved word that dokimos0rg may ask cspace (if the uff members are okay) to merge with our forum. Due to 3 recent hacks, uff has become weak and needs a new start. doki believes that by having all of uff's member join cspace's forum they can still hold together along with our members.

i personally think its great, we both believe in the same things, we need dedicated members and they need support. Cspace is a good scripter so hacks are useless, and i know his leadership and wisdom will help bring this forum back in action.

idk if doki has contaced you on this yet cspace, however if uff agrees i would be more than happy to welcome uffer's to curvedspace and seeD.

I would actually be very glad to have them back. I do not believe everyone was given a proper chance to get to know one another. Things were said, people were fed tuna, and yeah. sad.gif

Either way let's keep this topic on a nice level, if you have nothing nice to say, or can not say something with respect say nothing at all. grnwink.gif (this is not directed at anyone, however I just don't want anyone bashing another).

As far as I know, a lot of people here have bad memories of UFF, while Cspace may agree with this, I don't think the merge here will run so smoothly >.<

However, as you know, me and UFF get on really well bluetongue.gif So I think it would a great idea!

I dunno tbh =/

true, however the ppl who left the "bad" memories are no longer in uff. uff is composed of mainly new members. if the ppl who were not liked are not coming, then i think everyone will be fine. and if worse comes to worse, C can always ask em to leave.

There's no logical reason why it wouldn't work. Everyone benefits greatly from the combined activity, and both SeeD and UFF can provide each other with a jump-start.

In comparison to the mutual benefits, the grudges are weak if they still exist. A grudge that one member has with a couple others shouldn't outweigh the greater impact of the big picture. It's ridiculous if someone truly wants to prevent this for such simple reasons.

I'm not saying "yes" or "no" yet, but if something can be done that makes sense for everyone, then I'd be fine with it. yes.gif

As long as Dokimos loses his ego I'm fine with it.

... Well, actually, the main person who left 'bad' memories for me was Dokimos himself, so unless he himself is gone, I'll have problems. Maybe a few fatal aneurysms and arteriosclerosis, along with a couple of screama.gif s, slaps, and furious outbursts. ... If you can figure out what I meant, then high five to ye!

I believe Doki has broke his bonds with UFF atm. He's concentrating on a Second Life clan/church thingy atm and has claimed he only wishes to be contacted about UFF in extreme emergencies, such as the forums being hacked 3 times now bluetongue.gif

And its true what Black Ops says, a lot of older members who were with UFF when merged with SeeD earlier have left. Most of the new members of UFF are really nice people ^^

Second life church? Charlee... I just lol'd so hard that I fell out of my chair. For real. I can barely keep a straight face right now.
Seriously though, I bet he's right at home in SL *snicker*

I think that if they want to come and join SeeD the Arbiters' Order (darn name change, still messin' me up >.<) as new members of our forums, of CurvedSpace, not as UFF, not as members of UFF, it should be fine. If they want to join these forums, then no one is stopping them. But I do not think they should be allowed to 'merge' with SeeD and maintain their identify as 'UFFs'. I have no problem with any of them joining these forums -- sure, even Dokimos could join these forums -- just as long as they don't try to still say they're UFFs here. That may be what caused most of the problems last time, how they refused to identify themselves as SeeDs and stayed as UFFs. Because of that, they always stayed to their silly little subforum in the Garden forum and never left, only listening to what Dokimos said about how 'clans with requirements are evil and elitist' and how they all should be 'annihilated due to their blaspheming principles and members'. And most of them constantly agreed with him too, even though he was as close minded as he was >.>

I have to say, I do think UFFs opinion on Doki and the requirement thing has grealty improved. They even started a branch of UFF, called IFF, which allowed req clans to ally with them. Still not allowed to ally with UFF but eh, ya know.

A lot of retired UFF members went to start a req clan when they left, and UFF wish them luck, and do not even start to flame them about being a req clan. In fact one clan, Jsded Empire, is very close friends with UFF.

I really think you need to forget your old memories of UFF a bit guys, a lot has changed.

I'm sorry to be such a pessimist, but I really don't think it would work. Last time, it was just UFF using the CurvedSpace forums. UFFs usually only came out to flame us over something that a SeeD posted in "their" forum. The only SeeDs that really went in there either flamed Dokimos/UFF and Cspace, Star, and a few others trying to calm everything down. The UFFs really didn't identify Cspace or any of the mod team with any leadership or authority, only Dokimos. Try keeping a clan with two completely different leaders. I have nothing against UFF personally, but unless things has really changed, a merge is nearly impossible.

A clan isn't one person. UFF isn't Dokimos, just like CurvedSpace isn't me.

They need help (again, "they", not "he"), and we need activity. The mutual activity boost would be significant for everyone involved. Everyone agrees that we need more activity, both here and at events. Most of us are reluctant to recruit. This would solve those problems, and also make recruiting easier for UFF as well as our guild due to a snowball effect. Momentum happens with this sort of thing.

So for those who doubt it... What's more important? A year-old grudge with one person, or all I said above?

Most of us are willing to give it another shot if that's what UFF wants. Many aren't only willing, but would welcome it because they realize the entire benefit for everyone involved. Please don't ruin this for everyone over something so trivial...

I really want all you SeeD/Arbiters guys to think this over, coz believe it or not, UFF has changed so much. The activity boost could be helpful to both clans!

Grudges are horrible things to keep, especially against one person who doesn't lead UFF anymore! Dokimos himself has changed a lot from a year ago.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both clans, another chance! I don't want to see this go to waste over a grudge like Cspace said. =/ It would be such a wasted opportunity.

Give them another chance, I'm sure a lot of you will be suprised.

I really don't see what the big deal is, there is nothing to realistically lose.
