OOC: So uhh... Karlorons don't seem to be very well described, and I'm not sure they even have ships, so I figured it'd be kinda cool for them to take over one ^o) And yesss, they -can- infest things! >.< *infest*

A small speck appeared in the sky in the south, gradually growing larger... What was it? Was it a meteor? No, it was not! It appeared to be... A very large ship! As it got closer, it could be recognized as Aphorite by design, by those who could tell such things, but there were many strange, abnormal growths on the exterior of the hull in several places. They were strange, yellowish tannish almost fleshy things, but there were very few who would recognize what exactly it was.

The ship was humongous; it was one of those capital ships, that can hold thousands of people and have hundreds of weapons. But this ship seemed to be in a state of disrepair, if the strange growths were ignored. Smoke billowed from it, creating a tail behind it miles long. There were gaping holes in the hull in some places, and one could almost wonder how it was still all connected in one piece. One piece or not, it seemed to be rather broken now, for as it came closer and closer, it became readily apparent that it was -not- slowing down. A crash landing was imminent.

And so it was. A short time after it first appeared in the distance, the ship collided with the sand of the vast desert, perhaps halfway between Maldenar and the southern border of the desert, created a huge wave of sand that flew into the air, almost encompassing it entirely before it settled back into the dunes, though a liberal amount of it remained across the ship. With the collision, some pieces had broken off, now scattered across the dunes in a small radius of the ship. Several parts seemed to have ignited, though it was rather obvious many sections of the interior had already been aflame.

All was still, for now...

Neraphym flies over the wreckage atop his mighty dragon, Lohengrin. A young Aphorite female is riding behind him.

"Hm, this is an Aphorite starship... infested by something. Karloron, no doubt. This may be worth looking into. If anything, I may be able to salvage some valuable parts. Hold on tight, Varulla, we're going into a dive."

Varulla, the Aphorite riding behind Neraphym grabs onto one of Lohengrin's spikey things protruding from his spine. They go into a dive and quickly arrive at the wrecked ship in the desert. The two Aphorites dismount and begin to search for an entrance.

OOC: Varulla is accompanying me as an NPC. She will have no combat stats until DS2 comes out, but I will use her to perform roleplaying actions if needed.

OOC: Eh, I had written a post several days ago, but before I could post it my computer crashed and I've been swamped with homieworks since bluetongue.gif Sorry XD ...And this probably won't be as good as the old one, for my brain is -not- working right now bluetongue.gif

The hull appears to have been quite compromised, perhaps due to entry into the atmosphere, or perhaps due to the damage it sustained that caused it to crash in the first place. There are many holes across the hull, so you could likely enter into whatever side of the ship you wished, but there are no areas large enough for your dragon to fit. You'll have to leave him behind, it seems!

Varulla: "Over here looks good. It's close to the bridge; we may be able to find out what happened to this ship."

Neraphym: "This is of minimal concern to me. We're here to salvage parts."

Varulla: "Information can be just as valuable as materials. Who knows, maybe there is some info here that will worth more than the ship itself."

Neraphym: "The odds are certainly against that, but admittedly, not too small to disregard. Besides, I do need the manifest to see what and where to salvage from. We'll head in here, then. I'm sorry, Lohengrin, you'll have to wait out here."

Neraphym and Varulla enter into a small hole in the ship and attempt to make their way to the bridge in hopes of finding some valuable information about the nature of this ship. Lohengrin patrols the skies overhead, avoiding the billowing smoke still spewing from portions of the ship.

You appear to be in a corridor. It is Aphorite in design, as the ship did in fact seem to be, but the strange, yellowish-tannish growths are present here as well, covering the walls in places. Some lights flicker dimly on occasion, but for the most part, the interior is dark.

... Despite the lack of light, there is another thing to consider. Having entered the corridor from the side, you can now choose to go either left or right, down the corridor in either direction. Which do you choose?

OOC: Don't worry, this won't be like that labyrinth bluetongue.gif

Neraphym: "I've never been on a ship of this design before... which is quite odd. Let's try heading right."

The corridor curves with the side of the ship slightly inward for a while. A door is to your left, running perpendicular from the side of the ship. It is sealed. To the left is a panel glowing dimly, the faint light surrounding a slightly indented shape of an Aphorite's hand. You could continue in the corridor, or go through this door.

Varulla: "Hm, what's in here?"

She places her hand in the indentation.

The light of the panel flicker, and the door begins to open... It stops, after only about an inch, with a great grinding sound. Sparks fly, and the light of the control panel goes out. It does not seem that many of the electrical systems of the ship are intact. If your assumptions about this ship being infested Karlorons, then it can only be assumed that they opened the doors some other way than the hand panels, since their hands would be quite different from an Aphorite's.

Neraphym: "Looks broken."

Varulla tries vigorously to spread open the door.

Neraphym: "Erm, it's not budging..."

Varulla: "Ugh, I got it!"

Neraphym: "Let us stop wasting time. Come."

Having failed to lift it, she and Neraphym move on.

A small bit further down the hall, there is another door. This one, however, looks to be an elevator of some kind. To one side of it are two buttons -- one is in the shape of an arrow going up, and the other is in the shape of an arrow going down. The corridor continues in the direction you were going previously.

Neraphym: "Ah, this would be the lift."

Varulla: "Goodie! Here we come, bridge!"

Varulla and Neraphym enter the lift and press the up button.

The doors close rather slowly. The lights of the lift flicker ominously. A strange, yellowish tannish glob drops from the ceiling. The elevator begins moving up, terrifyingly slowly, the grinding of metal coming from somewhere above you. A corner of the elevator is covered in the fleshy substance. The elevator slows... and then stops, the grinding ceases with an echo. The silence is deafening. The lights flicker... and go out.

Neraphym: "Damn... looks like we need to walk up."

Varulla busts open the elevator doors and they walk out and continue on down the hall.

As you continue down the hall, the walls become increasingly more covered in the strange, yellowish tannish fleshy substance. You even pass two or three doors, all covered and locked in place by the stuff. It starts to cover the floor, as well. You pass a door not covered in the strange almost flesh. There are many scorch marks on it. It looks like a battle took place here.
