No, because he uses too much alteration and synth on his guitar. Fact is though, he can still play damn fast, just not those studio-recorded songs.
Either way, I still think he'd win the rock off.
But then there'd be a bunch of dead guitarists to clean up...

He does alter his guitar too much. Many of their songs sound like squealing chipmunks. Sure, Herman Li has skill, but I think he would be in the top 20 bracket of "shredders" at best. But, if Dragonforce is your kind of thing, more power to you

He's in the top 10 fastest shredders, I believe. I'd have to double check.
And I really liked them until I listened to them live about a month or two ago, where now I only kinda like them. I just think that Herman Li is still very skilled.

Correction: He lost because the Devil recovered the pick, and with it became complete. Thus, the Devil rocked harder than Tenacious D (Though they did blow doors down.) When they had the pick of destiny, they were able alter reality, and even literally blow peoples' minds.
