Guthan's spear (0) used to be 100k or something more then a new Guthan's spear, G E is just crazy.
So anyways, I was thinking about it, and I though, "Those WoW guys are probably laughing their asses off like crazy", so I went over, searched for google, and found a topic, one of the guys sent in a ban appeal, and sure enough, JaGeX is so {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}ing desperate now.
EDIT: Actually, some of the stuff here is not recommended for our younger viewers, so, instead of the picture, I'll just link it
"R" Rated text 'ere =/
It's too epic to not show it though.
Jagex need to listen.

In the G.E. some things are less expensive than in shops now.. (for example, marble slabs are 50kish less in the G.E. than in the shop) and you lose money if you buy the dragon shield half and put it together now (if you sell it in the G.E.).
I'm afraid the G.E. isn't working as planned.. It's a buyers market, and no prices have gone up from what I can tell
They keep going down until they hit the lowest point..
Eh well, maybe it just needs more time. Or maybe the economy is going to have to have a set minimum price for everything x.X

I love how back in the day people/merchs would pass off their prices as because of supply and demand. Guess what? Here is real supply and demand. It is over-saturation of items and should not surprise anybody. If you want to make money now, you actually have to pay attention to what really is in demand and provide it.
The DShield thing doesn't surprise me. I mean, you have prayer books, defenders, obby shield... The only reason it was so expensive was because the word 'dragon' is in it. People were still hard pressed trying to sell them pre-GE and now we see the real value.
Now that I think about it, one of my favorite parts of the update is no more "Offer" crud that people love to use. You see the value of the item right then and there.

Aye, I see. It is a bit of a shocker how prices actually are. Selling an item is less now, but so is buying an item. Everything will balance out again, only at different prices.. it's just going to take awhile I guess.
Yeah, the offer thing always got on my nerves

RS economy is depressing (LOL).
Rare items are too mainstream. Too easy to get by sheer farming. There's no possible way to add variation to items, so it doesn't change anything.
The GE only fails because kids don't know how the market works. They want a little amount of cash and will sell for whatever they can, even if it means dropping lower and lower.
Seen those guys with like 50 rune plates in the bank? Same thing. They could toss a plate away and not have a second thought, because rune plates are so commonplace, there's no worth in them.
Dragon long? 100k? No big deal. They've easily sold for 50k on world 1 before. From the sellers price.
The plug has been pulled. Now just let it run down the drain.

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Not to mention all of the 'shops' that players liked to use on the RSOF. Imagine a person with high level herblore selling all of their thousands of pots at once, 6 types at a time. Now, remember how many pots at a time people buy? They just single handedly plugged up the market.

The trading restriction wouldn't be so bad...except that it bases the cost of each item as if you sold it to a general store when there was only one item in stock.
For example...a trout, it assumes, is worth about 65 coins. That's bologna. No one will buy a trout for that. So now fishers are screwed, they can't even give away their catches to newbies while training. =\
Also, did anyone notice how few people are getting on? My world (47) is usually brimming to about 1600 people on average. Yesterday, it was at a measly 800. And it was only 8:30 Central. That's sad. But I hope Jagex will learn a lesson from it and pay attention to the numbers.
