They ought to try actually reading it. I'm all for efficiency, but let's keep letters and numbers where they belong.

Quite frankly, if they were going to use an online idiom, I would think that 'lol' would be a much better one. Much more popular, and much more...um...well, let's just say it's the base for a lot of other words.
