[Neraphym]

Blocking attacks and dodging lasers, Neraphym and Varulla hack and slash at the attacking Karlorons. A laser blast strikes Neraphym in the leg as a Karloron swings its arm down upon him. The blast knocks him off balance and he cannot hold his own under the strength of the Karloron attack. He is knocked to the ground, then kicked into the computer terminal.

Varulla is fairing much better, having pinned that first Karloron against the lift walls with her small sword. She throws her other sword into an eye on another Karloron. The sword didn't go to deep, and did not kill the monster, but it was rendered blind and is trashing about aimlessly in pain. She draws her kusarigama and begings slashing away at other Karlorons. Being a superior weapon to her swords, the blade tears through thing Karloron carapaces with great ease.

Neraphym gets up and sends and ball of blue fire into a Karloron, effectively ending its life. He regains his fighting composure and attacks another Karloron.

[Darkness]

Err... Whatever her name is... that one Aphorite girl kills one! ... Another one wanders around blindly, and the other tears the shortsword from the wall, thus freeing him. Though bleeding, he throws the sword at the Aphorite girl and lunges forward to attack! The fourth that attacked her attacks her again!

Two of Neraphym's assailants are dead. The other two continue to attack.

[Neraphym]

Varulla holds up her kusarigama and the short sword's tip flies into the chain link. The tip is caught in a link, effectively stopping the sword. With her concentration on the incomming sword, a Karloron finds an opening and attacks her. Her armor absorbs a good deal of the force from the attack, but she is still sent flying into a nearby wall. The damage was a lot less than it may have seemed, as her armor is quite strong. She gets up and throws the kusarigama into the chest of the Karloron she pinned against the wall. It sticks. She yanks back on the chain and the blade comes back to her, tearing away from the Karloron and spilling its guts everywhere. She catches the blade and swings it around her. She aims low and spins the blade into the leg of the blind, thrashing foe. The leg severs and the beast tumbles to the ground.

Neraphym is still struggling a bit. He isn't nearly as agile as his female counterpart, and must resort to blocking powerful attacks instead of easily dodging them. This only slows him down, however, as these Karlorons lack the necessary skill to get past his blocks now that his opponent's numbers have thinned. They abandon their guns and charge in with their giant claws. Neraphym raises his sword to block an attack, but he forgets to turn it sideways. The claw lands on the sharp, burning edge. The claw is split in two, but the tip flies off and still hits Neraphym in his injured shoulder. In pain, Neraphym twists around and ducks under another attack and stabs the other Karoloron in the neck, severing the head off the damned beast.

[Darkness]

Ahh yes, Varulla. Now she has one attacker left, and the one legged blind one on the ground. The able one attacks her.

So... the only attacker for Neraphym now has half a claw on one... hand? Anyway, it attacks Neraphym.

[Neraphym]

Varulla throws her weapon's chain around her attacker, completely restricting its movement. The chain was longer than it looked at first... in fact, you could almost swear it grew to the exact length it needed to be to completely cover the Karloron. She smiles and swings the blade around the monster. It goes around and around, the chain shortening each time. Finally, it ran out of chain as the blade swings into the face of Karloron. The beast falls to the ground. Varulla holds up her hand. The entire chain disappears and the blade flies back into her hand. She walks over to the blind, crippled Karloron and lops off its head, too.

Neraphym simply sidesteps the Karloron's attack, and then counters. His sword cleaves a large gash into the Karloron's hide. The beast screams and falls dead.

Neraphym: "You alright?"

Varulla: "I have a headache from getting thrown into a wall, but otherwise I'm fine."

She smiles, which is a drastic change from her evil, bloodlusty stare that she had in her eyes a moment ago.

Neraphym: "My shoulder keeps getting hit. I might need to look at it."

Neraphym takes off his armor (yes Darkness, this scene is for the ladies in the audience tonight). The damage is light, but it certainly needs attention. Varulla bandageshim up to stop the bleeding. He puts his armor back on and they get into the lift.

Varulla: "To the floor with the computer bay hatch thingy on it!"

[Darkness]

You both wonder which floor, exactly, that is. Neither of you know where on the ship it is, and neither of you can read the writing in the lift to be able to go to the level even if you knew where it was.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym: "Um, so what floor would that have been on..."

Varulla: "Oh, I thought you knew."

Neraphym: "I'm sure a computer terminal would be able to tell us... if it worked."

Neraphym returns to the computer terminal to try and locate the computer bay. Varulla takes the time to clean the Karloron blood off of her weapons.

Varulla: "You're lucky that their blood just burns off of yours... I have to actually clean mine after each fight!"

You notice that this panel appears to have had several parts removed. This panel does not use crystal technology. It looks like whoever removed the parts, though, made it so simply putting the parts back in would restore functionality -- obviously in case they ever needed to use it. Perhaps if you find the parts, you can use this terminal.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym and Varulla look for the parts.

Where? o.O;

Lying around the bridge...

That's not very specific. Parts aren't very -big-, y'know. They could be in lots of places.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym: "Spread out and check the bodies... maybe they each took a piece."

[Darkness]

The first Aphorites you search yield no parts. As you search, you find, in the middle chair before the window, the one that has no computer panel and is slightly elevated, a body of an Aphorite, on his uniform there being markings of rank. Perhaps this is Commander Arellis Vurivin...?

[Neraphym]

Neraphym: "This must have beent he captain. Let's see if he has anything."
