"If we can get the ship's AI back online, there might still be a chance. Get down to the medical bay and find the emergency hatch up to the computer bay. If you accept, I'll give you directions from there with this." He holds up a portable communications device. Some of our technicians have been working on the problem since it originated, and we should be able to stay in contact now."

The device speaks with Vurivin's voice when you arrive on the medical level.
"Have you found the emergency hatch yet? Because the automated weapons were ineffective, it is probably opportune that you do not meet any on your way there. Your personal weaponry might not work against them as well."

"Since auxiliary power is down, I can't access any maps to lead you, so I'll have to work from memory here. Fore of you and up is the computer bay. You'll have to climb out of the rotating habitation module and into the zero gravity core. You remember your foothold combat training, right?
Once you're there, look for the computer core. I have a feeling that the doors have already been opened, so you won't have to worry about the security locks."

"Once inside, there are a number of service panels. Open them and press the big red Emergency Reset button. It should be painfully obvious which one it is. That should load some emergency bootup code and restart our AI. Hopefully the damage to her primary data loop won't be fatal. If that's the case, we are
They've found the bridge. Good luck, Aphorite. I'm afraid that my story ends here."
The sounds coming from the communication device becomes nothing but the sounds of fighting and blaster fire, and then only the dying screams of Aphorite soldiers.

Neraphym tries to raise Vurivin on the radio, but cannot. It suddenly strikes him... Neraphym has changed nothing and the ship will certainly crash. He failed both times around. Remembering what happens next, Neraphym makes for the emergency escape pod bay.

You arrive in the escape pod bay. There is a door to either direction, and the escape pods are along one wall. It looks like it would take some time to enter the commands to effectively escape.
For some reason, the doors to the bay will not close... You notice that the strange, small creature is rapidly approaching from both directions in massive numbers. But the doors won't close! They are almost through the doors.
... And suddenly, the doors seal. A computer console on one side of the room suddenly reads, "EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN PROCEDURE ACTIVATED". If that was Atrya, then it appears she -did- save your life.

The escape pod lands in the forsaken desert!
Apparently, two driods were also in the escape pod at the time. A tall golden humanoid robot named D-3PO and a short astro driod named R2-Detour. The tall one heads off to into the desert in a random direction, while R2 heads towards the mountain region. Neraphym, however, heads towards the crash site.
