In your opinion, what do you think is the number one misunderstood monster in the game?

What did they ever do to us?! Besides some murders here and there! Why don't they deserve a loving hug too?!

Well, the tengu seem to have different factions or tribes or whatever. *points at the Factions Manuscripts* Even in Cantha there are two groups, and only one gets along with humans. Even with them the peace is not entirely a sure thing bluetongue.gif.

I would go with anything made of stone or ice. They probably didn't have a choice in the matter. Would think for a creature like that to exist, someone had to summon it or make a machine/spell to put in an area that would summon them automatically. Guess undead would fit in that category as well, though they were once alive, so some/many may have a more willful reason for participating in the carnage.

Tengu are pretty misunderstood. Also, some Charr are misunderstood. Not all of them want to kill humans! bluetongue.gif

Yeah, the bunny got me too. bluetongue.gif

Whatever else you can say about the Mursaat, they were trying to prevent the Flameseeker from releasing the titans. Conquering Kryta and suppressing the Chosen is a lesser evil than total world domination, even if you wouldn't necessarily agree with their methods.

Yeah, every time I play prophecies, I always wonder whether killing the Mursaat was a good thing. Do you think any are left?

if you look on the Wiki, you can find out about the special event in honor of the Mursaat. They showed up in a town, along with Gaile Gray, since people were celebrating them.

Depends on your point of view. Obviously them keeping the titans locked up was good for everyone. On the other hand, lying to the people about what happens to the chosen, and the chosen themselves, is absolutely wrong. It's arguable either way, I suppose, whether the actual sacrifice (ignoring all other factors) is right or wrong, considering it actually does something (as opposed to some Central and South American cultures, where the sacrifices were (at least believed, as I understand it) to emphasize/maintain the ruler's power).

But this could go on and on. For instance, is it right to kill someone to stop them from something (discounting self defense)? But if we took that to be wrong, we wouldn't have much of a game, eh?

My thoughts are probably just that they're evil, and were trying to preserve their own power more than they were using questionable methods for the good of all.

The flameseeker prophecies didn't end in the Lich succeeding, they ended as Prophecies itself did, in the group of players winning against the Titans. I would also assume they made it fairly clear what would happen to the Mursaat once the Titans were released. The Mursaat make it pretty clear they still want to kill you even once it's clear you're the chosen of the prophecy, either they believe it and thus believe you'll wipe out the Titans, or they don't believe in what is beyond the Door of Komalie and thus don't need to try to wipe you out quite so rigorously. It seems to me that while their efforts in Kryta were preventing the Titans, their main focus was on maintaining the status quo.

I kind of feel bad for all those wild animals that the devs saw fit to use as enemies. I mean you've got some fairly vicious looking animals that are tameable pets and won't attack you unless you AoE them, so most of those survive. Then you often have almost identical types of creatures that must be wiped out, for some arbitrary reason. Surely it's not their fault. bluetongue.gif
