So I was scraping Grothmar Wardowns and came across this very nice waterfall. Wanted a new wallpaper, so I start shooting, just the waterfall, facing the waterfall, and with it as a backdrop. I also discovered Kitty is HUGE.

Take 2:

Take 3:

Take 4:

Take 5:

And Finally!:

======

Looking through my other pics I see he's been HUGE for quite a while (this is from May), I just didn't notice O_o:

But he definitely wasn't always huge:

He's a mel stalker, right? A few months ago they updated the game so that pets that hadn't been growing in size as they levelled (such as most of the Factions ones) suddenly did, I believe. Didn't realize that Melandru's Stalkers hadn't been increasing before then, that seems to be the most likely explanation for a sudden jump in size though.

Yeah, Stalkers grow, but not as much as other animals.

He is a stalker, but he's a bit more than waist-high in the picture from May. He doesn't look quite that big in the waterfall picture because he's on the low side of me. I think he might be more muscular though. It has been a while since I stopped to take a picture with him, rather than a picture with neither of us in it.

I miss my Stalker. I had it for quite awhile and only got rid of him when I got my Phoenix. sad.gif Something nice about having a cat following you aound doing the work. I don't mind my bird, but I like cats.

::sheds a tear in memory of my Stalker:: Stay close to your's Zoo, they will be a good friend.

::leaves sniffling::

Yeah, I'd never be able to give him up. Have a feeling if I told some people he's hearty instead of dire they'd recommend I start over >_<. It's not worth it to me. He's been with me for more than 750 hours, since we were both "little" guys (I tend to think in terms of little and big when it comes to levels O_o). He tends to be the last standing (which is kind of sad when the minions turn on him sad.gif). He did a really good job the other day being a tank while I and I think half the party was dead. We made it out of that situation. He can often kill what we were working on before the res timer is up.

And now it's feeling kind of wierd to be so sentimental over a pixel cat bluetongue.gif.

I haven't spent as much time around my Ranger's tiger, but I can certainly see how you'd grow to be sentimental about a pet. Actually I haven't brought Rawr out in a long time, might need to try to find a pet build I'm happy with.

I'm planning to get a Rainbow Phoenix on my Dervish, but I doubt I'll actually use it all that often. I just want to level it 20 so that I can bring it out when I want to, because they're shiny and massive and hard to get.

Just remember, they only grow in size if they evolve. So quick leveling of a pet doesn't work. Would need to actually keep it alive and have it fight.

Hmm, okay... I thought they always evolved into something. Admittedly my knowledge about pets has some holes in it. bluetongue.gif

Sometimes they require an item, like a fire stone, as an example.

O.o Wha?

I dunno about items being needed. But yeah, it is possible to raise a pet to level 20 without making it evolve. It can be done if you just let it rack up experience without taking much damage or dealing much damage. And from what I've seen and read, they dont grow that way.

I thought that made them evolve into an Elder pet? I'm probably wrong. bluetongue.gif
