Saelel took the blow to the stomach, but that didn't stop him from whipping his head forward, in an attempt to bash his opponent's forhead.

[Darkness]

With the forceful blow to his head, the dark cloaked man's head bent backwards, and he stumbled backwards, falling to one knee. Regaining his senses, he wiped a spot of blood from his brow and swung the orb at the end of his staff at his opponent's ribs.

Saelel tried to duck the attack, but wasn't quick enough. He took the blow in the shoulder instead.

Almost dizzy from pain, Saelel spun and sent a strike at the back of the cloaked man's knee.

[Darkness]

The attack hit, making the dark cloaked man's knee buckle, sending him to the ground with a grunt. He then proceeded to kick at his enemy's shin before trying to stand up.

The blow took Saelel's footing out from under him. He fell rather clumsily to the ground before scrambling to grab the man's ankle.

[Darkness]

The man's ankle was... grabbed...

The dark cloaked man then swung at Saelel with his staff again, aiming for somewhere in his back.

The wild strike hit Saelel in the back just after he hauled his opponent's foot out from under him.

[Darkness]

The dark cloaked man hurried to his feet, then aiming a kick at his opponent's face.

[MA-53]

Saelel turned his face and took the blow in the side of his head, barely avoiding a hit to the temple.

He vaulted to his feet and swung his staff low towards the side of his adversary's knee.

[Darkness]

The dark cloaked man tried to leap out of the way, but was too slow -- the blow collided heavily with his leg, and a wrenching sound that did not bode well. Stumbling and limping, the dark cloaked man delivered a punch at Saelel's face.

The punch landed on Saelel's brow with a popping sound he hoped was the cloaked man's fist. He saw an opening and threw an elbow strike towards his adversary's ribscage.

[Darkness]

The blow landed against his side with a sharp 'crack', which pulled a prompt groan from the dark cloaked man. In response, he stabbed the less blunt edge of his staff at his opponent's arm.

The staff scraped along Saelel's forearm rather painfully, drawing blood, but not preventing him from whipping his staff down at his enemy.

[Darkness]

The dark cloaked man attempted to dodge the attack, but misjudged the staff's course. A last second movement of your head prevented his skull from being cracked open, but the side of the staff still tore painfully across his right cheek, the friction tearing off skin. Blood began to dribble from the wound. In a fluid movement, the dark cloaked man kicked at his adversary's ribs.

The kick forced what breath remained out of Saelel, and nearly blinded him with pain. The blow sent him reeling, and in a last desperate effort, he spun, swinging his staff at the cloaked man's spine before collapsing to the ground.
