You may -think- you like techno...but you don't. I had this phase a while ago. Then I mentioned "techno" around and about, and before you could say "crusty jugglers," I was being tied to chairs and forced to listen to hours of the dreaded "trance." It's a lie...it's not music, my friend.
Real music is crafted in hot forge and steel--by the legend himself. "Slash."

Songs tend to borrow elements from other genres. This can lead to fresh new sounds that can spice it up when things get stale. Some techno is good in moderation, and I like to hear artists experimenting with some new techno sounds in their own genre. Oh, and if you are Kanye, please stop.

I thought that "Techno" was the name for "electronic music in general".
I'm bad with music genres.
I'm bad with music genres.
Techno is generally a dance type of music, with a strong focus on the beat. Other types of electronic music, such as noise, dark ambient, and neoclassical are far from being dance music.

Guns'n'Roses and Velvet Revolver were Slash's greatest moments...he doesn't look too good now days. Mostly 'cause he's half baked. In case you're wondering--yes, some of the chords he plays are wrong. Why? Because of extensive alcoholism. Some concerts, he had to be "stood up" on the stage because he was too drunk to stand on his own. Another example of how far great people can fall...but he still takes the cake for best guitarist for me.

A synth is an instrument...
Yeah, but many unlearned people call music with liberal use of synthesizers "synth" music.
