Today wasn't very good for me either. As I was driving to school this morning, I got involved in a 4 car chain crash. Some guy pulled out in front of the truck in front of me, and he slammed on his brakes. I had about 40 feet to stop, which wasn't nearly enough. I hit the truck in front of me at ~20 MPH. The car behind me hit about 1 second later, and a second after that a third car hit. My hood is bent and my radiator is busted, but my bumpers are fine

. No one was injured in the accident, thankfully. My neck is a little sore, but that's it.

The insurance company won't process anything until Monday, but the guy at the shop said that the repairs would be about $3000, which is twice the value of my car. That means I'll probably be getting a new car within a week or two. My poor Sunbird will probably make its way to the junkyard

. Hopefully I can get a car with as good gas mileage as that beast

.

Overall, this is a good and a bad thing. The good part is that I'll be getting a new car for college. The bad part is my insurance rates will rise, and my perfect driving record is tarnished! I've driven for two years without a hitch, and now I find myself in a pileup. My friends and family have tried to console me by saying it really wasn't under my control. That may be, but I still feel like a bad driver
