"Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

All of this happening whilst a five year old paraplegic latina girl (I'm guessing at the age, no older than seven) was standing by her arm braces across the aisle from me, listening more intently than one would expect for her age.
Oh the sad, sad irony. I about cried when she smiled at me.
For those of you who don't know, if the stem cell research bill hadn't been vetoed by King George, this little girl could quite likely have walked into church this morning.

You know... I just got finished with my rant about catholicism too.

Every time I hear about stem-cell research my mind is automatically going to go back to this adorable little girl.
There's some seriously wrong things in this world.

P.S. In regards to stem cell research, there might be alternatives then aborted fetuses and whatnot. I sadly don't want to get into the politics of religion and how they should not be intermixed with people's beliefs. When you start attacking another religion and saying its the "Culture of Death," you need to step back and rethink what your saying. Attacking a person is one thing, attacking a faith is an entirely different one.
