Turn away if you should hear me begin to sing! I look like a {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}ing monster with this wing! Craving new experiences, so what, oh but maybe you should know!

I'm in a situation where I can't find any new music that I enjoy listening to, it's either "this is boring" or "heard this one before" and I seriously want to find new bands.

Streetlight Manifesto are sooo awesome. Although his voice kinda can get irritating in some songs...

Just do like me: Search around for ages on last.fm on your recommendations, and compile a list of all the bands that sound even remotely interesting, then start "acquiring" them slowly and see if anything cool pops up. Here's my list at the moment (still looking for new bands to add to it):
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (- In Glorious Times, Of Natural History)
Omnia (- PaganFolk)
Amesoeurs (- Ruines Humaines)
Alcest
Haggard
Novembre (- Materia, The Blue)
Death In June (- The World That Summer, The Corn Years, Rose Clouds of Holocaust, But, What Ens When The Symbols Shatter, All Pigs Must Die, 93 Dead Sunwheels)
Forseti (- Erde, Windzeit)
Humanoid
Düreforsög
Made Out of Babies
Battle of Mice (- A Day Of Nights)
Jesu (- Heart Ache, Jesu, Silver, Conqueror)
Cave in
A Swarm of the Sun
Mr. Peter Hayden
:Of the Wand and the Moon: (- Sonnenheim, Emptiness)
Ruins
Some of these bands are damn obscure and their albums hard to come by.
Oh, and
An Dro by Omnia.
Damn, didgeridoos are so cool.

If I find myself at a musical dead end, I usually search out a genre that I've never listened to. As always, I listen to it with an open mind. Most of the time, I end up finding a plethora of good music and several new favorites.
