Yeah, I log in out of sheer boredom, and see I have 28 unread messages. This is of course BS because messages seem to get deleted over the course of 3 months, yeah?

Well they contacted me back in effing December about some new Pmod registration kind of thing that you need to do do to stay a mod or something like that. So I check some of these messages, which only give me the {expletive antidisestablishmentarianized by Cspace} end of the final notifications saying \"Check your old messages on how to register\", when... I can\'t FIND my old messages that are supposed to be from December. 8D

In a nutshell.
I\'m glad, but still kinda miffed. Ah well, not like it means anything anymore anyways, right?

I was a mod. I have a pretty good grip on the rules. bluetongue.gif

But if you think it'll help anything, you're free to tell them. Maybe I'll post the rest of my messages from them, too. Y'know, just for giggles.

You mean to tell me a few of those 4+ years weren't wasted anyways? True when I was first awarded modship it was a great thing, but you realize just how much of the scum of the game I had to sift through to stay there? Seriously, the only perk I saw of having it was being able to do what needed to be done. You'd never believe the abuse I got for simply having a few pixels beside my name. That's when the game started to get wasted.

Enjoy yourself though, because you can actually 'play' the game (You lost, by the way. I don't care what Randall Munroe says) and you're not entitled to do a think with it.

Wasted is what it became when I actually got to know a few of the Jmods and realized what they were all about. Granted that a few of them are honest to God great people, but there's more out there that aren't worth jack diddly. Even worse were some of the other Pmods I had to tolerate. When you see friends starting to get banned for illegitimate reasons and Jagex pulling the "We felt he was a threat" card, when there was no feasible and logical problem, then you start realizing you're running on a wasted time, then you realize "I should probably cut this game"

I know the rant wavers on why RuneScape is a bad game, but I think I'm actually entitled to say this. Maybe Star is too, but I'm uncertain if she was around for all of the stuff that happened 'Behind the scenes'. But I was there to catch a good bit of it in a lot of places (It didn't always happen on RS forums)

By the way. For giggles.

Go right ahead and inform them. They'll either take two steps of action.
1) They won't do anything at all.
2) They'll do something just because I said they won't.

Simple as that.

QUOTE
Hail mighty Paladins,

This is the first newsletter that you shiny Paladins will have received. We would like to make this a weekly feature, if I am not too busy. grnwink.gif

Whats going on,

As many of you will know there is a new event being planned called QA wars. This is where QA teams can go head to head against other QA teams in the clan wars area, it promises to be great fun!

This will however bring up a small problem or two for us. The first is our uniform. We can't simply turn up in our rags. We need a fitting uniform for our holy selves. Remember the uniform should symbolise our team name and also be strong. It should be both F2p and P2P so that we can all use it in QA wars. It should also have ideas for Rangers and Mages. Any ideas please post on our QA thread (Quick find code: 58-59-429-54242551).

We are also going to need someone to write up a review of the battles (probably one person per QA war). The report should have all the true facts of the battle (if maybe slightly Paladin biased). If anyone would be interested in doing these again please post on the QA thread (Quick find code: 58-59-429-54242551).

Event,

We are thinking of having a little team event in the next week or so to celebrate being awesome. We have a few ideas on the QA thread but any more would be great. If you can think of something fun for us to do that wont take a whole shift (I do have work to do) grnwink.gif Then once again please post it on the QA thread (Quick find code: 58-59-429-54242551).

Quality,

We have dropped slightly on our teams mute quality however we are still in a strong position and a respectable team score. I have noticed that as a team we seem to be getting a few wrong mutes with offensive language. This can often be a difficult rule to work out where we should be muting and where we should only be reporting. I would suggest that anyone who is unsure have a quick read of the offensive language section of the Oracle (Quick find code: 8-9-23-25562643) just to refresh yourself. If you feel specifically that there is something you don't understand feel free to send in a query to me.

Scores,

1.) Trackprncss
2.) Gut Rotter
3.) Steve47c
4.) Caillean4
5.) Geohyde chef - Joint
5.) Pinguicula - Joint

This week has seen Trackprncss take the top spot for the first time since the Paladins have been formed. This is because Gut Rotter has been top ever since the beginning so a huge well done to both people are in order.

About you,

It would be nice if we could get a nice little message from one of our P-Mods about who they are and what they like doing in RuneScape. If anyone would like to put there name down for telling the rest of the team about your interests and hobbies feel free to mention it on the QA thread (Quick find code: 58-59-429-54242551). I will then get in contact with you.

Thats it,

Thats all for now, if you have any suggestions for the news letter or want to tell us about your ideas for anything mentioned in this newsletter go to the forums Quick find code: 58-59-429-54242551 and post away.

All the best.

Mod Zach

I don't know what significance that has, other than just doing something to do it, but there you go.

Yeah, Jagex tell crappy lies to their players and in their opinion: Profits > Customers. It's true, but kinda sad. sad.gif

I've heard many stakers have got No-Evidense RWT bans, and people named "I Dunt Macro Lol" get banned for macroing when they never did, lmao. xD

I always figured runescape's problem stemmed from the fact that it's free (brings in the stupid little kids), and that they listen to their forums, which nobody worth mentioning goes to anyways.

Also, the only pmods I ever saw were all like "Look at me! I'm a mod! !ay attention to me kekeke^_^"

Edit: I'm suprised RWT scares them so much. They DID make a way that players could create mass amounts of gold ffs.

I know a great few mods that were the same way, but I was also lucky enough to know a good few mods that were actually decent people whose job meant something to them. People like Star and Dan (Though Dan never came here.)

It's all corrupt. But in essence, take it as you will. I hear there's a place to reapply, but now that I'm finally out of it involuntarily, there's no way I can get back to it.

Pmods have to give out their irl details to jagex now, if you don't give them you lose pmod, and that's what happened to you.

He's aware of that. He's not really bothered enough to reapply.

This isn't in relation to you, Res, but I am actually glad to hear they're doing that. I know of player moderators who don't login, and it's actually good to hear that Jagex is "cleaning up" as it were. Them having inactive P-Mods kind of ruins the whole thing.

Now I have heard things about what goes on 'behind the curtain', but since I am not a P-Mod so I can't say anything about that. Either way, as far as removing inactives that sounds like a good thing.

What's funny, a few Jmods know my IRL Details anyways.

True true. To be completely honest, I was kind of beginning to wonder when I was going to be demodded. I'm relieved about it all, but I suppose there's a bit of a nagging aggravation from knowing that even if I wanted to go back, I couldn't because of the message clearing system.

It was a good time, but there's a time and place to lay things down and just move on. The time has come and gone, but this is the place.

I spoke to a Jmod a few months ago, asked them about the updates, she ignored me. Spoke to one ingame, he ignored me...

They'll only ever take you seriously if you talk like an absolute blithering idiot to them. Requirements are inserting the word "Pie", "Cheese", "Cookies", "Tea", "Hammers", or "Mod Chris" in no particular order among every third word.

It's a coping thing they have to deal with. Whenever there are serious issues that surface, they'll joke their way out of it until everyone is all giggly and bubbly about it until nobody cares.

Hey-o.

They offered me pmod status like three years ago.

I didn't accept it.

After reading this thread, I get the feeling I'm not the only one.
