Also we can't be sure what IS causing climate change, but we know for certain that humanity isn't improving the environment much at all. (That was sarcasm. Actually, we're destroying quite a bit of it, but the question is "Does it matter?" and "Should we care")

It doesn't really matter whether we are responsible for global warming or not, you can't really deny the fact that we're cutting down huge forest areas, which are needed to sustain life on Earth, as well dumping oil and other kinds of waste (even nuclear waste) into the ground and the sea. The point is, even if global warming isn't caused by us (or isn't even happening), there are many other ways in which we're destroying our own planet. Ignore them if you like.

Even if we aren't causing the planet to warm up, we're still responsible for so much more damage happening to the planet, listed by Traver.

I certainly think that we -should- care, because it is after all... where we live.
