Rahvus pauses his slow walk towards Sigurdh as he sees the adventurer from outside enter. Wondering if he should continue with his plan anyway, and then take care of the adventurer after, he glances back to the knight, and then back again to the other man. He was about to begin moving towards Sigurdh again when the adventurer left. Rahvus's face had never changed, but he was relieved. That only made his plan easier.
He began moving towards the captain once more, making sure he was behind him. His footsteps were almost completely inaudible, even in the armored Aderonian boots he now wore. The art of silence was something he had been taught for many years, and some said he had perfected it. A knife appeared in his right hand with a small turn of his hand. He was almost behind Sigurdh... He raised the knife up in his hand, preparing to strike... And then brought it down, aiming for the small crack between helmet and armor on his neck.

Ziggy approaches the guards slowly and stops. "What is it?" he asks innocently. He makes a slight gesture with his hand, and his horse trots out of its hiding place toward Ziggy.

OOC: Well -that- was depressingly easy XD
Rahvus turns Sigurdh over, so he is facing up. He then crouches over him and cuts his throat with the knife. In a swift motion, the knife disappears into his clothing. He then makes for the door.
OOC: ... Can't be bothered to make a long post. Have to leave

Was it?

Just as Rahvus gets near the door, the two guards are seen saluting Sir Flansburgh. He appears distressed about something that happened out in the desert, as he approaches the entrance and stops in front of the assassin.
"What are you doing in here? Where is Sigurdh?"

OOC: I meant the killing of Sigurdh. Not necessarily the whole entire 'killing Sigurdh and then escaping Maldenar' thing ;D By the way. I hope -this- fight is challenging
Rahvus raised his eyebrow. To Flansburgh, however, it would seem as if he was not moving at all -- the Aderonian helmet Rahvus now wore blocked the motion from his view. He did not move for a moment, thinking amusedly to himself how though he had thought he would have to hunt Flansburgh down, Flansburgh had come to him, making his job depressingly easy.
Yet the moment passed. Then in a moment to one's view, two knives were in either of Rahvus's hands, and he had already thrown them towards Flansburgh, even at that short range. Another two were already in his hands as the first left them -- or so it seemed -- and he was rushing towards the captain, stabbing with the blades...

Flansburgh expected something like this. When on duty a guard does not usually travel unarmed, or at least with the appearance of it as Rahvus had. There was also no reason for a guard to be speaking to Sigurdh, who Flansburgh has not yet seen in the room.
As Rahvus draws the knives, Flansburgh jumps to the side and lifts a chair as a makeshift shield. He dodges and blocks the initial assault, drops the chair, then draws his impressive sword and swings it around toward the assassin. Flansburgh intends to strike with the flat side of the heavy sword to knock Rahvus off-balance.

OOC: I was hoping I could leave first.
Ziggy watches Flansburgh enter the room. As the sounds of fighting breaks out, he looks slightly distressed. "I.. uh. I only wanted to ask Sir Sigurdh about possible relations between our lands," he says. "I must be going." Ziggy jumps onto his mechanical horse and rides away. "Hopefully whatever is going on will be over soon and isn't anything too bad," he mutters.

OOC: Rahvus -is- wearing a sword...
So he's not really 'unarmed, or appearing to be'
Oh, also, a few days ago I was like... 'Dude. Rahvus needs some Arcana.' So I went through his classes, deciding which should be eliminated. Actor and Assassin were pretty important, but then I realized Bounty Hunter was pretty much just like Assassin... but with technology! And I don't want Rahvus to have technology. Quite the opposite, in fact. So I switched it to Telepath. So what happens next is mostly Telepath stuff. Mostly just 'Calm Mind'
Rahvus heard the sounds of fighting. But they did not come from the room he was in. They came from a great distance... He thought it must be coming from somewhere outside the city, but... still very close to it. Was Maldenar under attack? If that was so, he had to get out of here. Now. He didn't have time to get into a lengthy fight with a skilled Aderonian Captain.
The moment his first attack was blocked by the chair, he returned his knives to their places and drew his own sword, but only to block Flansburgh's attack. Raising it up horizontally, he firmly stopped the slash, but the weight of the sword and the power of the swing forced him to one knee. As this happened, he reached out to Flansburgh's mind, using a trick he had learned in his youth. Then he spoke aloud. "Calm down... Why are you fighting? There are more important things to be thinking about!"

OOC: Oops.

***************************
Flansburgh threateningly points his sword toward Rahvus, the tip balanced only inches away from him. The captain listens to Rahvus speak, and thinks for a moment before replying.
"Things will get worse quickly. I don't know who you are or why you're here, but I'll let you go for now. There's no use fighting in here while Maldenar comes down around us. Don't hesitate to leave this building, or I may change my mind."
He lifts the sword and rests it on his shoulder, allowing the assassin to stand.

Rahvus stands, as he is allowed to. He gives a small nod -- which would, realistically, either be interpreted by the Captain as thanks for letting him go or an agreement to his terms. Agreeing to leave the building immediately, lest the Captain change his mind. And Rahvus did indeed move towards the door as he did this, creating quite a persuasive image of his leaving. But alas. It was fortunate -- for Rahvus at least -- that the Captain was not familiar with this specific assassin. If he had known him, he'd know Rahvus would not give up on his target that easily.
He was almost to the door. He reached out his hand to place around the doorknob, as he were to open it.. But at the last moment spun around, and instead of opening the door with his hand he made a swift slashing motion. A powerful wave of neural energy arced out towards Flansburgh, which would cause energy to enemies it hit.
OOC: In case you didn't get the obvious references, that was the Telepath ability 'Chaos Wave'. "Chaos Wave - A powerful wave of neural energy that causes damage to enemies."

"Aaaargh!"
The energy surges through Flansburgh, causing pain as it travels through his nervous system. He recovers quickly and lifts his sword in a defensive stance, holding it in front of him in preparation to block the assassin's next attack. He walks toward Rahvus to close the distance between them.
