However...I know one thing. The internet is a no-man's land. I'd love to see the FBI knock on my door. Nothing is sacred, gentlemen. You can grab your keyboard and huddle in the corner if you like. But I will walk as I please. Big Brother doesn't own me yet.

Let's get back on topic.
How is the game, thus far, for people who have played it? I'm not tempted in the slightest...

All of the ones RSC started with.

It's LIKE RSC in the early days. And I mean the early early days, but it's a step or ten back graphic wise. And we all know graphics DO play a part in a game. At least RSC wasn't entirely comprised of MSpaint animations. Close, but not.
I could see myself playing this when I'm... REALLY bored, maybe.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

They didn't do anything but hurt themselves, honestly. Their idea of an auction house was a good idea--even if the sales were really linear and required you to set fixed prices.
I miss the old RSC not because it was "ghetto" or "oldschool." But because it was simple. We don't need this complicated "whack, pause, eat, pause" system. The turn-by-turn system was just fine. I, for one, enjoyed the silly little "bapping" style combat. The graphics weren't the best, but they weren't eye-soring either. Sure, it would have been nice to differentiate some weapons so that people couldn't mistake a dagger for a two-hander. I think Jagex's biggest mistake was they were trying to impress their audience too much with the graphics and animations. They wanted blocky, unresponsive movement. In RSC, at least you could click the ground and be comfortable knowing that your avatar was going to move there instantly. There wouldn't be some clunky 600-pixel leg movement to lag up your connection or make huge skips on your computer.

It was a good game, untill 2005. RS2 and RSC were untill then.
Gawd, I remember when seeing names like "mini cooper" and other stuff like that was common, heck. I met Mini Cooper when I was level 9, he was about level 50. I thought it was amazing.

I am completely unaffected by the trade limits, in fact I find it refreshing people can't be scammed (I say "Can't", because you can not offer an item worth a million for 1gp), and find it refreshing people can't RWT like they did. In fact, it's really pointless to RWT at all. Let me give you an example here, I was in Lumbridge on a F2P server the other day in ghostly robes and a legends cape. Two people asked me what they were, and no one begged for them at all. I am combat level 99 F2P.
Sure you can not give all your items to someone when you quit, however when is there any reason to? Most people end up coming back, and those that don't tend to lose P2P before even offering their items to others (and those that do offer, tend to not give them away due to time restrictions, etc). I realize giving gifts is a good thing, however who really is effected by it? Who gives gifts higher then 30,000gp daily?
(For those who do not know, 30,000gp is the limit once you have more then 200QP - mind you it's only like 30,000gp per 20-30 minutes or something).
Also, Jagex does not actively control the GE. They have a team devoted to fixing the prices, after players suggest it. Anyone, whether logged on or not, can check how prices change (whether up or down) from the website. This is for anyone, even those without an account.
As far as the players, I do not get bothered most of the time. Sure, the forums are crazy from time to time but come on .. most forums are crazy. The game? It's great.
There are very few autoers, and those that do auto get banned fast (and, btw, they can't really make ANY profit considering how trading was limited).
What about overall players? Most people that play, whether over eighteen or not, play respectfully and with kindness. I very rarely find assholes.
The game is not perfect. Jagex is not perfect. Players are not perfect. But guess what? Nothing is perfect. I dare anyone to find "the perfect game". It doesn't exist.

Also, Jagex has released a lot of /NEW/ F2P things. EG: Fists of Guthix, Bounty Hunter, etc. Bounty Hunter is /exactly/ the same as the wilderness, except people can not steal kills. You are assigned a target, and yes you can be the target of more then one person. That just makes it more difficult, and I happen to like Bounty Hunter. Why? It's really more about skill then luck, you really can't run away as easily, and in fact it's more about Player Killing then the wilderness ever was.
Most people didn't give a flying {expletive ninja'd by Cspace} about player killing in the wilderness, since most people ran away. It's a lot harder in Bounty Hunter, but yes it is possible -- less likely, but possible. You also will not see a level 3 v.s. a level 100.
Any questions? Ask, or play.
EDIT: Please note it's a 30,000 difference, not 30,000 total, which means if I have a item worth 90,000gp you could give me 120,000gp or 60,000gp for it).
