It's quite heavy. Kickback isn't as bad as you think, but it's still there. Overheating is a pain, as well. It's not as accurate as I'd like, so it takes just about the 20 shot limit to try and blast anyone where damage will be near decent.
And hitting ones self with that thing while trying to melee would indeed be a possibility.

Bormp.
Payday check was not as much as I had calculated, even after taxes. There was a glitch in the system and I was cheated from a fair amount of cash. However, I have gotten a raise, and worked overtime all day today, so money is no longer much of an issue.
I'm working around buying my sisters birthday present, and my dads Fathers Day present, and securing all future funds to make sure I'm not completely screwed after the suit is bought.
Order will be placed in the next 4 to 5 days.

I never did update this thread directly.
As of 7/31/08 11:08 PM, I paid the full amount forward to Urban Collectors website to obtain my pre-order receipt. I did in fact receive it, and have been waiting ever since.
A total of 706.02 was deposited, and the suit is STILL in the process of being manufactured and sent out. After a great deal of worrying over any lack of communication, I sent Adam (CS rep at the site) an email.

Great. A delay. This thing is NEVER going to get here. But all is not lost. A mere two days afterwards, I get an unexpected email explaining the situation which somewhat eases my worry.
This was received on 9.2.08. I have roughly one to three weeks left for my package to arrive. Once it does, every last one of you will be able to hear me shriek with glee like a child at Christmas. Videos, pictures, and a lot more will come.
And if any of you think about jacking it from me, I'll resurrect hurricane Gustav on your asses.

I totally got ripped off. I talked to the guy about it, and he said he'd be sending it. But then he told me that he lost my address, and that he had already processed the payment and it couldn't be refunded.
-$700. Holy crap. I'm so freaking mad.

Getting velcro to use on the suits leg and side of the Plasma Rifle soon, so I can 'holster' it when not in use. Hurry up, 21st. >_< Then Haloween.
