I'd just recommend that you mess up your email address a little, unless you don't care if spiders grab it. It would probably be safe to replace "@" with "//", and flip the right with the left. For example, write somebody@hotmail.com as hotmail.com//somebody. Just removing the "@" won't do the trick.
