Hey to everyone still around here. I'm never around anymore with my college things going on, but it's crazy how no matter how long I am away, I still miss CS and want to come back. I definitely learned a lot from my experiences here, so that's probably why. Anyways, I figured I owe an update at least since I've rarely been checking in this year. I'm in the second quarter of my freshman year at college (winter quarter, we go by seasons..) and am studying engineering technology... although I'm considered transferring into Digital Cinema, which is basically the technical side of cinema and imaging sciences. It would basically lead me to a job in the imaging industry. My reluctance to actually transfer in is caused by the fact that this major is the only one of its kind, and it's a mere two years old, so I have no graduates to look at to determine salaries, job securities, etc.. The head of the department just won an Oscar this year, and it looks promising. If I do transfer I'd have access to all filming and editing equipment under the sun, so I may just put up some of those videos I promised a long time ago for CurvedSpace (resulted in failure due to my mediocre equipment, and lack thereof).

I am still running in college, indoor and outdoor track and field. It's very different from high school, in my opinion, but hopefully that'll change once I know everyone better. The weirdest thing is going back home over breaks. I'll go visit my high school and track team, and I just have a huge detachment now. It's like I can never go back, and I feel strange trying to.

Anyways, I hope everything is well here? I know there has been activity issues.. well some new online games should be coming out that we could attach ourselves to and gain traffic. I'm thinking of GW2 and Diablo 3.. even though I played GW already, I may opt for D3 because the trailers looked so damn amazing. But that's all dependent on if I have time to play in the first place. bluetongue.gif I'm not drinking nearly as much as I thought I would in college, probably because there's a lot of weirdos at my university, so I should have time, hehe. I actually may transfer next year, too, but that depends on if I find a college with a program I want. Plus the area around my college sucks big time.

Happy Holidays!

Hey Draggy! Good to hear college is going well for you. I'd sure prefer quarters, semesters are too long.

Quarters are much faster paced, so if you fall behind anywhere it's not possible to catch up. bluetongue.gif I've liked them so far, I'm paying thousands of dollars to learn so I haven't had much reason to fall behind myself.

Merry Christmas! My family gets later every year, which is why I'm online at 10:40 AM ...still waiting. bluetongue.gif
