I like to workout in the gym because of the variety of weights and machines available. I am on my ideal weight now and I'm just replacing the fat with muscle. My current routine includes a 3 mile run in 30 minutes with 2 minute sprint towards the end and 3 minute cooldown. Then I do whole body workout, high repetitions medium resistance. I do this 3 times a week. I haven't checked my weight yet, but I am beginning to see muscle cuts and forms already. TheSmile.gif

UPDATE May 27:

QUOTE
I am not returning to Cspacezone forums, I am just simply wanting to keep this as a diary to myself and a place were people can get help on their issues or can offer me some help TheSmile.gif. In other words this will be the only thread I post to
I just really liked this thread and it did motivate me a lot then if I didnt have it.

4 months 20 days now
Current weight: 192
Lost: 35lbs
I am still working out but now on top of my dumb bells and treadmill I bought a bench bar but I didnt get the stand becouse my house is too small for it. I also bought more weights to put on them. I have been eating more calories as well, I moved from 1200cal avrg to around 1600cal, still mostly healthy foods.
My summer vacation off school starts in a couple more days and during the 2 months summer I am really hoping to reach my goal weight of 170lbs, this will put me in the normal weight range and I need this becouse I am going to buy a new wardrobe by the end of the summer becouse a lot of stuff is too big on me now. I am 5'8" btw.
Workout plan: 5 times a week: run/fast walk 3 miles, lift weights, and I am starting to add swimming to this as well.
Here is my weight rang just to for looks:
Starting weight-227lb-Obese class 1
Current Weight-192-Overweight
Goal weight-170-Normal

Thanks to everyone that has helped me so far, please give me your opinions and comments and keep helping me out, I need it, when I hit 170lb ill deffinatly have to post some before and after pics.

Well done, CORE workouts help a TON with weight reduction, fat removal, and muscle build up. I usually do 20 mins of by doing several types of ab workouts about 4-5x a day. TheSmile.gif

keep it up!

Thanks The BlackOpps,
I try to squeeze in 30 push ups and 40 crunches at least 5 times a week.
I do not think this is a diet as much as a new lifestyle.
Most of the 35lbs lost have been from losing weight in my face, thighs, and upper chest, I still have a large size chest. Hopefully I can get rid of this.

Please have some respect and do not go off topic. If you do not have anything beneficial to post, please do not post at all.

Kidding. I have a lot of respect for you following through on this and making progress. I lack motivation bluetongue.gif I have started walking more though! And when I have some cash I'm getting new tubes for my bike so I can start riding again.

I like how you have a steady progress.

Just to clarify something:
Weight-lifting does NOT allow you to burn fat, it purely builds muscle.

Cardio is the way to go to remove all the fat, really. I do 4-5 mph walking for 30 minutes. Works like a charm.

Hi people. TheSmile.gif

Great video, Scooby is great!

Lifting weight actually does help remove fat. Muscle burns a lot of calories even when you are doing nothing. Also lifting weights in its self burns a lot of calories.

But, you are correct, cardio is the way to go when burning fat.

I havnt updated this in a while so here is my current progress:
I havnt been working out or anything except for swimming/walking on the beach becouse I have been out of town and on vacation and I wont lie...lazy. Still keeping the calories low though
July 13, 2009
Weight: 186lbs
Goal: 170lbs
I now fit in a size Medium-Large shirt (from XXL)

Began working out agin from a 2 week break yesterday by doing P90X.
I think I mentioned it in a earlier post but I had all the P90X videos but I felt like I just couldnt do them, well after losing 40+lbs I started yesterday. I am planning on also running/fast walking 3miles a day like I have been normally doing, but I injured my right leg first with playing bball with sucky shoes (bought new nice bball and new running shoes) and got a chunk of skin off and then when that went away I was at the beach and a huge wave that I was trying to body surf crashed down on me and I did a 360 under the water. But I will be ok in hopefully another few days.

Got my drivers license recently and once I get a car (my parents keep saying very soon) I am hoping to join my high school football team (im in 12th grade).

Havn't updated this in a long time.
Have been working out/getting physical activity for 2hrs a day 5/7 becouse of PE at my school.
Raised my caloric intake for protein and to gain muscle and I have definitely gained some muscle.
I am going back to my 1200-1400 intake level becouse I just wanna look good. I am currently at 1800-2200cals using 500cal(this is ok for me becouse my body size it takes 3200cal for me to gain fat weight) (60g protein) 5/7, but i am going to stop this for a while to lose some weight.
current weight: 185-190lbs (scale changes almost daily for me becouse I drink so much water)

If anyone would like to update me on how they are doing ether losing weight wise or gaining muscle wise it would be interesting to me.
