So I've actually fractured and displaced the tips of my middle finger and thumb on my right hand... and apparently they can't do anything about it because it's at the tips, so they're more likely to cause more damage than anything. I had to emphasize that I was a music student and that my fingers had to be fully healed...
He said that they'd just splint it and give it time to heal, as in, three weeks. After he asked what I played and I told him the keyboard, clarinet, and saxophone, he said it'd probably be fine - there'd just be a callous which would eventually die down with time. So mum's stressing out up in Hamilton and is getting the opinions of plastic surgeons and physios and whoever else she thinks might know something.
Pretty much I'm screwed. Had a mean cry at the hospital. Photos are up on Facebook.

The upside is that it's easier to type... well, easier than before when I had no splint and typing would cause me severe pain.
Oh how I love you ibuprofen.

Your fingers will never be the same.
Reminds me of when I got my thumbnail ripped right out at work. Blood everywhere. It's still growing back, and it's all crooked and {expletive hax0rd by Cspace}.
Good luck getting them straight again.

Pardon that, I was still a little bit tipsy after our study group last night.
But nah I can't send it over MSN because I was listening to the music through a website called the Naxos Music Library. You need to have a login and stuff to access it but I'ma try and see if I can download the songs somehow...
If all else fails I can just send you my login details so you can access it whenever I ain't using it.

Thinking about it now, Tanny can hold up his broken fingers when he meets new people and say "I'm as straight as these fingers!"
And see what happens.
And see what happens.

I have to take two 200g tablets 3 times a day, so that kinda does kill the pain a bit.
Nah it's not that bad. The splint protects the fractured bits and holds them in place so they don't move, but yeah I did scream out today when I accidently knocked my finger against the fridge. That wasn't cool. Luckily I was due for my round of meds so that was okay. xD
Also, I got told by the doctor to take panadol alongside the ibuprofen, so that might help.
