I'll admit he sounds cool, but think about it. He wasn't even defeated by a god, it was Saradomin's supporters who finished him off. We all know saradomin isn't exactly the mightiest god around, he keeps getting his mailbag stolen by zamorak. I'm a guthix supporter, so i realise there is only room for one chaos god, and against all odds that seems to be zamorak.

Yeah Man, Learn how to debate. Pathetic....
Anyway, Zaros was struck down by Zamorak, and the gods sealed him away. Zamorak barely won, and he is the weaker of the two evil gods. A few years later, SAradominists came and destroyed all the remaining Zaros cultists, and covered up his existance. Probably in fear, for the cultists would try to bring Zaros back, however, if they were dead, and the tomb hidden, nothing could stand against them.
My Theory was there were six gods; 1 greater and 1 Lesser for each thing. I think the Lesser nature god became the Grand Tree, and gave life to the tree gnomes, and Saradomin overthrew te greater "light" go, and destroyed him. Zamorak got jealous and tried to do the same, but barely came through. he only managed to seal Zaros away, and Zaros swore revenge on all of the Gods.

hello zamorak, my screen name in runescape is tahnok113 and i just want you to know that zaros has emerged from deep under the earth to destroy you... ..Ok that's it -- a warning... Za-zaros? ...Ok, thats not funny. Don't. Just don't. I'm not scared of anyone ok? Zaros is gone. So don't lie to me ok? He's gone, and I'm not scared of him even if he isn't. HE'S DEAD. Not scared. Not even worried. At all. DEFINITELY not. Seriously. Anyone who says I got lucky last time is just a dirty liar. Hah, you're just playing a trick on old Zamorak right? Right? Because I'm not scared at all. So don't try and scare me like that, because it WON'T work. I'm totally not scared. |
He seems quite scared...

Yes, quite interesting... Also, here's a topic I started about this:

Zaros was one of the gods, a lesser god, who died thousands of years ago. Nobody knows anything about him, but one thing is for certain: he was powerful. Now, in the digsite above Al Kharid, a strange talisman is found: ![]() Could this be the answer to the mystery of Zaros? |
Notice it says "Zaros will return and wreak his vengeance upon Zamorak the pretender."
Now don't tell me this doesn't have something to do with Letters 15...

Does anyone know if any of the secrets of zaros are locked in the legends guild, perhaps we should ask one of the legendary people and request their knowledge.
My theory about Zaros is Zamorak's cousin/brother whatever and they were both equal not lesser/greater. Zamorak (greedy as he is) wanted all the power so he sealed him away in digsite.

Zaros wasn't struck down by Zamorak, all he did was stab him in the back and drained a lot of his power, and then they fought though Zaros was still by far the better of the two, and then Zaros was finished off by the rest of the people.
And one more thing... Zamorak was not a God at the time, he was a mortal like you and I. Zamorak became a God when Zaros was struck down and forced into another dimention and his powers were consumed by Zamorak.
Zaros was locked away in a mirror world of RuneScape (I like to call it ScapeRune), and I do believe he will return even more powerful then before, and Zamorak and Saradomin will have to form an alliance to defeat him.
