Because folks in my age group are used to there being GOOD cartoons. Like the old Cartoon Cartoon show, Transformers, TMNT, GI Joe, etc. Old MLP was a sack of crap, and the Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends came about. Samurai Jack, too. MLP was produced by the people that came up with both of those, and brought their style and storywriting back. So people who are used to GOOD animated shows finally have something back, that's on the same level of humor as they want, but still a good show for kids.

so there's an old MLP and a new MLP?

I don't like many current cartoons right now. However I will say good things about Adventure Time, The Regular Show, and The Amazing World of Gumball. But something i have absolutely no patience for is Johnny Test. That's the worst show there is, hands down.

Adventure Time is marvelous. Regular Show is sort of ... mehhhh, and I've never heard of Gumball.

But Johnny Test can die in a car fire.

And yes, there's an old MLP from the late 80s/early 90s. It's rubbish.

Gumball is interesting, if for no other reason, for the weird things it does with the animation. It combines CGI, claymation, puppetry, traditional animation, and actual photographs in a way that is neither confusing nor visually busy

There are two kinds of people in the world, people who like animaniacs and people who don't like animaniacs. So are you with us or against us?

Those that enjoy Animaniacs are the kind that would delight in Poni.

I'm with you.

Hi Silva

hi goon!!!

-tackles goon to the floor and ties him up-

so here's the thing.. growing up.. I watched pokemon.. but my mom hated me watching tv and never let me watch it much..
then wehn I was 11-12 i spent two years at a boarding school, only going home for weekends.. and I hardly ever watched cartoons then.

so although I grew up with the pokemon generation.. I didn't watch it.. and what little cartoons I watched are from when I got old enough to watch cartoons.... without parental intervention.
