Guess we'll just have to see how significant +60 to all stats is. I mean I'm sure it won't be a bad thing, but from PvP videos it seems like stats are measured in the thousands.

Makes sense. But since the stat specific runes give at most +90 (plus, depending on the situation, useful status effects), it seems +60 across the board would be the most useful. But again, all speculation at this point.

Based on my reading of the wiki, the +90 stat ones are +90 specifically for five attached runes. The rest is cumulative, so they'd actually be +165 to a single stat. Still not as much as +60 to everything of course (which is a less focused +240) but there'd also be the three different ranks of other effects to consider. For example a fully stacked sup Rune of the Fighter gives +165 Power, +50 Toughness, and 20 seconds of Might every time you use a healing skill. Some of the others give % bonuses to damage, which might end up being significantly stronger than straight up stat boosts if the relevant stats are already high enough. Clearly there's a lot that would still need to be tested, but I'm liking the look of a relatively focused set at the moment.

I think about GW2 stuff too much, I suspect. Hopefully a release date is announced soon, and my pessimism about the amount of work remaining can be proven incorrect.

Life is wonderful! All my mates are graduating this week, or have already done so in the past few days, while I'm still plodding through my final year of university thanks to my degrees requiring a minimum of four years to complete. And on top of uni I'm pretty much working full time so I only have my evenings and nights free, and I just end up staying up real late and sleep in on Sunday which is my day off in order to catch up on sleep. xD

How about you? Everything going pretty fantastical in your life or is it slowly grinding through? Playing video games anymore?

Yeah, I basically do this same- at least you have the summer off.

I've just finished my first year of university. Off on an extended trip to America next week to I'm really excited about that. Lot's of stuff to do until then though.

I don't play games anywhere as much as I'd like any more. When I do get the chance I tend to hit up old console games in emulators mainly.

I wish there were still people I know on Runescape. Haha, good times on terrible games.

Wait, where abouts in the world are you situated again? I swore I thought you were like in America or something haha I'm probably melding a bajillion people from the forums into my head right now. It was either America or like the West Coast/Western area of Australia... but that might be someone else as well haha!

Dear god Runescape is so crazy. I went on it at the start of this year for the first time in like forever, only because Matty was over and he wanted to see what it was like again. The crack up thing about that was he ended up playing it heaps, and stayed up so late playing it while I was sleeping one night. He only did it because I was the one who had to drive us everywhere so he could sleep while we travelled.

Far out I'm so jealous I'd love to go on a trip to America, though! One of my workmates went there at the end of last year and she had so much fun. Extended trip, though? Holidays or just taking a gap year or something? What're you studying?

I tried loading it up on a whim about a month and a half back, had no clue what was going on. I kept having these achievement things pinging on my screen and there was something about spinning a wheel to win stuff... It seemed a lot more disjointed than it used to, was certainly nostalgic though.
