A Real Active Members/garden List?

Having joined SeeD for a few days i realised that many members are actually inactive, infact many gardens are inactive.

The garden that i first joined, Templar Knights, is basically dead. And i believe
many more gardens are basically dead as well.

I suggest a reform in the gardens, and set all the active players into gardens
so we can do more things together. With each garden a set purpose
and goals so gardens can be more then just a name and a group.

I see no pt in saying we have 700 members when basically only 20 or so
members are actually active in clan business. The rest of the members even if they are active in Runescape is only a SeeD by name.

Having served the army for two years, i can suggest a military way of organising
our gardens. With gardens for fighting (fighting divisions), gardens for
craftsmanship and gardens for supply. With set goals each month given by the
top people of SeeD and passed down to the commanders of gardens who in turn
orders the rest of the men.
Gardens that achieves the goals are rewarded with points and each month we can have the 'garden of the month' decided by the points system and a garden ranking
system.

It will be lovely if we can have a logistic garden where arms are created and
distributed to the fighting divisions. I believe there shouldnt be another
'steel crisis' since a garden is speciallised in the work while the other gardens specialises in their own field.

So in this way we can have 'elite gardens' and the 'sloppy gardens' this creates
friendly compeition that will greatly aid in our clan's progress.

Recent contact with the BRC has me feel that we can create a peacekeeping force
in Runescape. We can contact small clans in RS and offer them our services. With SeeD ambassadors in their clans to verify any conflict that befalls the small clans.
When these clans are attacked, SeeD will mobilise the fighting divisons (so well trained with trying to attain the monthly points) to the assistance of our contacts.

This is a drastic change, but methinks it will greatly improve our clan's performance
and fun.

Maybe you would think, 'why should we listen to this SeeD officer who just joined
3 days ago?'

Ive played online games for at least 8 years. And in this ive led many clans in various games like Diablo, Darkrealm, JYonline, Graalonline, MUD

In real life ive served the army for 2 years and this is my second year in uni studying philosophy.

I pledge my allegieance to SeeD and want to do something to make it large and
make SeeD a difference. Though my game knowledge is meagre, i am willing
to put in my other experiences into the service of this clan that had helped me so
much.

Please consider my suggestion and see if it is feasible. Thank you for reading
fellow SeeDs!

Till swords part.

Yeah... the new garden system should be a great improvement, but we won't know until it happens...

Anyway, having a division of mostly fighting and supply wouldn't work in my opinion. SeeD is a peaceful clan. We were extremely close to a war a few months ago, but it was dealt with easily... Gunblade, and a few select members, dealt with it quietly. Then again, you probably know this, since you read the History and know about the Great Steel Crisis. Good man. In any case though, we're so large now and have great leaders (plus Gunblade) that wars and major inter-clan conflicts are unlikely. Everything seems to be solved "behind the scenes" with negotiations and such.

As for the part about assisting allies, I'm pretty sure someone's planning a Mercenary specialty group... which is part of the "Reformed Specialty Groups" idea... which will also be a few months off. Just have to wait and see I guess. Additionally, the new specialty groups will be more active, and interact with each other (fish goes to cooks, etc).
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

mohsye: thanks for informing me about Cspace's work on a new garden system!
i hope my post can perhaps give some constructive suggestions to his work.

X Zolon: Good day to you X Zolon, thank you for inviting me to your garden, but i am very happy in EBK, argentine14 and Star Jedi are great Commanders.

Echlius: i will be active TheSmile.gif

Phieta:
Thanks you for your post, i now understand many things that i do not previously

Although we have very efficient fighters handling troubles behind the scene.
Methinks its cool to have a standing army to be called for when we need it.
We will eventually need a standing army when we become big enough to
present a major power in RS. After all, we cannot always use only episonage for the interests of the clan if we want to gain the reputation of a large respectable
peacekeeping clan.

I understand that SeeD is not an aggressor, but having gardens dedicated to
fighting can train fighters that can prove to be useful in any times of need,
or even just as a display of our strength, despite the fact that we are now safe and strong enough to deal with any aggressors.
Though we have a very efficient special ops department, having an army
to deal with a major invasion can be another means to protect ourselves.
Also a good way to train the members of SeeD. With Commanders wanting to
score for their garden, and putting pressure on his men to train.
The overall performance of the garden will be decided by how many 'mock battles'
it has won and how much advancement among the combat levels of its members.

Good gardens can be awarded medals and it will be shown proudly in the SeeD
webpage.

Methinks only by giving a particular objective for a commander in a garden to fulfil
each month, can give gardens its purpose and allows progress for the clan, and adds overall to the fun of playing the game and feel of being in a clan.
With direct superiors and the top notch 'bosses' leading the clan.

Me feels with me experience in online gaming, that a clan leader will soon get tired
of handling clan matters if he does not have an objective for his clan to work on.

I am very very impressed by Cspace with his way of handling clan matters and
deciding the future of SeeD.

Because this is a clan with people that cares, i am willing to put in my efforts
and suggestions.

Till Swords part,

Thank you for reading TheSmile.gif
