i somewhat agree with you guys. While very harsh, some people only join clans to get stuff, which denies the entire point of being in a clan, in my opinion
Being in a clan should be about making friends, having good times and discussions, and also to help each other. While harsh on the whole noob thing, they dont show they're gonna be an active member in the clan, not just some guy ( or girl) looking for free stuff
There....thats my ranting done for today

It might be that some people get scammed and go "if i was in a clan, this wouldn't happen" and join for that reason, but even then thats not really members we'd like because they're unlikely to stay active. And of course with a game like runescape it's not at all unlikely a lot of people joining are merely trying to scam. If that is the case it is our duty not to help them out unless there is some sort of proof.

People think of clans as a huge powerful strong force who helps their members out (which isn't too far from the truth). They just think "i got hacked, If I'm in a clan they can help me get all my stuff back". However that doesn't really contribute anything to the clan. It's true that if one of the regulars lost everything most of us would spring into action (cough*X Zolon*/cough) but thats only if they're well known and trusted, and would do the same back.

Exactly. We all joined this clan to chat about Runescape and make new friends. Thats why we've stayed with SeeD, and stay active. Joining to try to get free stuff out of people is against the whole point of clans. By helping each other out, we become stronger than if we were on our own. This has to be a two-way thing, you can't just have some people asking for stuff and some people giving.

Thank you, Goten--I agree, totally! That kinda stuff doesn't fly in SeeD...maybe some clans like to use each other, but we're not about all of that. I came into this clan because it was EXTREMELY well-maintained, and organized. I didn't really know what to expect where the people were concerned, needless to say, I was surprised (understatement). LOL

I pixel...and I like it. But, unfortunately, my addiction to RuneScape has sucked my artisitic ability right out of me. I also used to enjoy things like online periodicals. No more. That is the horrid truth of what this game does to you, your friends, your family, your life. SeeD has only furthered the deterioration of my condition. But, alas, I still love you! :P
