Electoral King Or Queen Of Seed!

(There is no Undecided option because I want exct results. Nobody change this poll OR ELSE!)
Well, we just finished our unit on elections here in History, and I thought.. man, I really want to get into politics.
So... what if, we elected SeeD King (or queen) every 3 Months? That person would have certain advantages, but also would do things to improve SeeD. They would pretty much work WITH Cspace, but you would have a huge effect on everything that would happen. Campaigns could start 2 weeks before the decided vote day, where, everyone would vote for whoever they want to be King/Queen. I think it would be great, and we may see a little more change in SeeD. Of course, here, we will work out a few things:
1: Whether or not we are allowed to do this
2: Luxuries given to the King/Queen
3: What exactly they CAN'T affect as King/Queen

Sure.
Or, we could do it more of a parliamentary thing.. only different.
There would be councils of people who run, and each council would vote in itself and pick a leader ( OR someone could form a council and have themself as leader) and then, we would elect the council, and the leader would be the King/Queen, and then the council would then be there to back up the leader, and have certain abilities, or even lead the higher garden clusters.
But meh, I like the single person version better

If there is an elected King or Queen...does that mean that it is possible that
Cspace will lose his role as leader of the clan?
Why not we elect the council leaders. Do it a westminster style of parliament.
Council leaders will meet every month and decide on the bills passed. The council leaders will in turn elect a council chariman, who will be second in command to Cspace.
The King..or leader (Cspace) will decide if the laws or policies passed by the council is passed as law/rules.
But we are not really very big..a democracy might not work really that well

I like this idea. The only reservation I have is the possibility of a campaign turning into a popularity contest. We would have to heartily stress the need to vote based on qualifications, NOT how well you get along with the candidate on a personal level. If it's democratic, it has to be all the way.

Yeah. You see, that is the kind of input I'm looking for in this topic. I applaud you Lisa.

Yeah. Anyway, Of course, because, It may even coem down to who has the most money to spend on buying everyone stuff to vote for them *coughbribescough*
Of course it would be based on qualifications. It would also probably be based on what you plan to do for the clan, and such like that. Also, we could have the person that came in second as Chancellor (vice president)

I dont know..but i dont seem to believe that an elected King is a good idea.
This might cause divisions in the clan. Trust me im a political science student too
in college.
And time will be wasted making election rallies and speeches when it should be
used to make the clan better. We have a good leader now..so im not for change.
There will be further problems, like certain popular candidates might be elected
for their popularity rather then their ability. You mentioned qualifications. What qualifications do you mean? a virtual college degree? or combat levels in the game? or devotion to the clan? We cannot really 'count' contributions.
I believe leadership and foresight is most important for the role of a leader,
a election is all well and fine..but people who are good at drawing votes but not necessary good leaders might become the leader... these people are mostly power hungry politicians. (just like real life!)
Just my two cents in this.

There are three females (Carol, Jedi and myself) that I can think of right off the top, so the possibility of a Queen is a valid idea. There are more males than females here, but the females of SeeD are nothing to shake a stick at. I'm not trying to harp on semantics here, but we have our chance, too.
X Zolon isn't looking to replace Cspace, god no. I am guessing that he's tossing this idea around to possibly help lessen the workload Cspace has on his back. This clan has grown to tremedous proportions in a relatively short amount of time. Cspace and Rylkan are the two who handle most everything. Add another person or two to help shoulder the responsiblilty and we may very well increase our efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications, like a virtual degree? HAHA! No. Candidates may state their case--and we shall have faith in the intellect of our members. We're not stupid. We will vote well. The candidates would likely be judged on their general RuneScape and SeeD community knowledge (to help others, and help Cspace weather the constant influx of questions that slow him down.)
I think it's a great idea.
PS) The initialization of the vote system would take a bit of time, but the outcome would be good. Therefore, worth it. And once we set the criteria, it wouldn't have to be done again.

I like the idea, as long as it was done right. This could really be a help to Cspace, as well as be another event for the rest of us to enjoy. There is no way to prevent it being a select few who will get voted for, but is there really any need? Sure it will be a popularity contest, but the most popular SeeDs are the ones that have proved they can be trusted and those are the ones I would like to hold positions of power.

Fabulous input, Goten! You have very good ideas and common sense. We can never have enough of that.
