REMEMBER: THIS IS A TEST RUN: THINGS CAN BE WORKED OUT AS WE GO ALONG!

Should we run a test campaign and have the whole Idea on a test run until it gets out of hand? As sson as the King OR queen becomes a tyrant, then 10 peopl can sign a petition to get them out. and unless 11 people sign a petitioon to keeep him in, the king gets booted. Also, when we get to vote, it is not a populartiy contest! It's based on the ideals, problems, and things like that.

To officially decide, I need the absolute full picture: Exactly what he/she can can't do, etc.

We have to deside if we are even going to ALLOW people to run, Hyper.

Once we have 10 votes, then I'll post the candidate thing. Also, should we limit the number of candidates? I know it's probably going to be a popularity contest, so we should limit it to the 5 most serious candidates.

*Sigh*

I'm a bit confused. How do we decide if we don't even know what a king or queen could do?

I say we should do this, however this King/Queen won't have any true power (cspace will approve everything and if he isn't on whoever has the authority to make decisions will approve of what the king/queen says). This should just trial and error test run.

Edit:just thought of this, the mods/super mods should do the little IP adress check thingy to make sure no one creates extra forum accounts just to vote grnwink.gif bluetongue.gif

Oh, that's what you wanted to know.

Well.. hmm.. king or queen can do anything that doesn'yt affect the main structure or leaders of the clan.

I'm not suggesting. One vote against won't kill you you know... bluetongue.gif If we get 10 votes and it works out well than I'll take all negative attitude away.

... You say it's a bad idea, but you won't go for change.

*lostmyvoteifyourun*

Hyper: Don't worry, it's not too bad. Also, that wasn't very nice...

ya im gonna have to vote no also...because if the king/queen gets too powerful and starts banning members (maybe sum mods who he/she doesnt like...maybe even the big man himself...[dunno if u can do tht though]) then we're basicallt screwed unless we can ban him/her or sumtin...u cant give the person too much power...so is this just like a giante mod?

........ DID YOU EVEN READ ANYTHING I HAVE SAID SO FAR??!?!?!

God.. people... THE PERSON ISN'T ADMIN! It's a guy that can affect certain things, but he's not a mod, and he can't affect the main structure!

This is a fault though. Nobody here becomes educated before they take a vote.. grr...

Irk. We should just do this anyway because people are making uneducated votes, and it'll end in pathetic results.

Maybe if you explained it better people would have a better choice of vote. Most people are just voting because they think its "fun". Try giving them all the information, like the pros and cons of having a king/queen. Give them information of what they can't or can do. Make everyone's life easier.

I voted no. Only because i think its pointless.

*sigh* fine. Listen up. I'll go through a month in the shoes of a candidate that becomes a King.

First day of pre-election:
Signed up to be candidate.

second-5th day before election
Planned speech, chatted with people.

6-10
Wrote out me speech on the forum, told people what I think needs t change, made my promisses.

Election:
I got voted in!
I plan to push for the garden update, and try to work on it.
I also plan to assemble a small mercenary group for the clan.
I also plan to...

After election:
I moved for stuff, improved stuff, bla.
People like me.

Pros of having a King/Queen:
-Possibly more active
-A voice for the people (possibly)
-Possibly get updates faster
-Possibly have a more active clan
-Possibly have new and better updates

I say possibly because it depends on the person, what they will do. Those are justsome of the things, and it's the basis of my platform, but you guys made me post it...

Cons:
-Election may have false votes
-May become popularity contest
-May have flase candidates
-May have a person who is cruel, and doesn't do things right HOWEVER if this happens, and enough people sign a petition that think he's doing a bad job, they can get him voted out.
