this shouldent happen cspace is the leader end of discustion!

"See, I think drugs have done some *good* things for us, I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a Favor: go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your cd’s and burn em’. 'Cause you know what? The musicians who’ve made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years...
Rrrrrrrrrrrrreal {expletive ninja'd by Cspace} high on drugs."

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."

I'm going to stay with the no people because all the jobs in seed are filled. the way i see it is leader, generals, members. nothing more, nothing less. also, i think its totally unfair how the test run thread was closed so fast after 9 votes, just because yes was up 3 points. someone reopen that! every seed has a voice, and should be allowed to use it. one more thing, almost every person who has said yes without posting a reason! This leads me to the conclusion that they are just posting because they think its fun. they dont even know all the facts and they vote yes. so every person should post his/her reason of why he/she chose that answer.

vietpryde, I agree completely with your last post
I never even have the chance to vote on the 'test' poll and its closed
and we cannot even reply to that thread.
If there are people who thinks there are legitimate reasons for voting yes,
then please speak up.
Having fun is is one of the purposes of the clan, but shouldnt be on the expense
of the clan's unity and safety. Also... IMO all these risks to create that position
seems all too pointless.

Guys this is supposed to be a fun thing. And it would be boring just being named king and not be able to do anything. So the person can affect things outside the main structure, names, ranks, or people. Now, onto answers.
Zolon methinks you should plan out everything before starting the elections.
These questions remain unanswered.
1. Responsibilities of a King
Pretty much the responsibilites are to find ways to make SeeD better than it is.
2. How can a King improve SeeD
This is up to personal preference.
3. Why do we need a King and whats his purpose.
We don't need one, but this is supposed to be fun. Also, it'll give experience in politics to people. Also, it is a little friendly competition. And again, the purpose of a king/queen/party is to improve seed.
4. Why do we need to give a certain member of the clan 'luxuries'
We don't really, except maybe a seperate user group of custom color, should Cspace wish to enforce that.
5. What will be the negative consequences of an election.
Negative consquences? Well, some people, who take this more seriously than it's fun purposes, may hold grudges and have anger towards others. However, all of us here in SeeD are friends, so I don't think that would happen.
6. If we weigh the odds, is it worth the trouble and risk to create a system for an
elected king?
well.. let's see. I still can't see many of the bad points, because we are all mature here in SeeD. So I think we should just go ahead and play around with it.
7. What possible problems will this new system create? Will it create divisions amongst the clan, what can we do to prevent this division?
It won't create divisions. You aren't looking at this like normal society. When an election happens, does the country split into two new ones that hate eachother?

I still think this is pointless. Almost all of your ideas have been abandoned. What happened to the innovators thing? gone. What happened to the newspaper thing you posted soooo long ago? I dont think it ever happened.(I could be wrong). Wheres that strange site where people get hired and you pay them?(not the recent one) Well, i'm sure theres more. Anyway this king thing will probably get abandoned too. The king/queen will probably do nothing at all, since he/she can't really change anything. after 3 months we'll probably forget to change kings/queens.

That sounds a bit... er, powerful

Fine, but with that much responsibility and power of command, it seems a little too much to just be for fun.

Well... In my humble opinion, not really. The test run IS a good idea though. We could do it so the winner of the election becomes king/queen for... say... a week or two. All decisions made will have predicted effects, and comments from the members, though all decisions WILL NOT be made, no changes made.

Viet: I ran out of time to do Innovators Inc. When I managed to get back to it, It seemed self sufficient, so I left it wiith Hyper. My Shop? I had it for around 2 months, but did you come? NO! So don't bad mouth me, it isn't my fault. A king would finally have all of SeeD involved. Plus, it's something I'd have time for. SO there isn't a chance I'd become uninterested in it.
Hyper: I think we shoud just go ahead and do it, but 10 votes saying the person is doing abad job and he's out of there.

Yeah, it just seemed to go extinct in about 5 days.

If this were to be implemented, Cspace would definitely not end up losing his leadership in SeeD. I'm guessing everyone agrees that Cspace has great leadership qualities (a natural leader) and maintains this clan very well. Most SeeDs wouldn't want anyone replacing him, so no one should be worrying about that at all.
Sorry X Zolon, but I'm a little against this. We can't throw power around by means of popluarity and activeness (I know that's not your intentions, but there's a good chance it would run like that). Plus, all SeeDs help to improve and are always free to do so (well, suggest anything for SeeD's improvement). A King or Queen would just be more recognized, that's all.
You have good intentions X Zolon, but there's just so many negative consequences. In my opinion, I think you should try that newpaper idea someone mentioned in this thread. That would be very useful for many who have been absent for a little while (like me, lol
). Just suggestion though.

Sorry for going off-topic, but it's a good idea. Every, say, 3-7 days, we'd come out with an issue showing what's going on in SeeD, Runescape, and possibly a bit of a Real World section
