Thank you Lisa. You're a person who's really got her priorities in line. SeeD is devoted to HELPING people like this. Peaceful means not saying, "N00b!" or "F u" or something like that. |
I disagree. Nothing on the page says to give free stuff to newbies. Otherwise, I wouldn't have joined. SeeD is devoted to stopping rulebreakers.
Really there is only two times when I give stuff to newbs.
1: They are obviously NEW (not some pure or secondary char), and they ask very politely.
2: I go on one of my little giving sprees to get rid of Iron. This is always followed by an offer to teach them how to preform a skill and offering to answer questions that they might have.
In conclusion, I totally discourage giving ANYTHING to newbs unless it fits one of those scenarios. This doesn't mean you should cuss them out, just simply ignore them.
FYI, "newbs" and "newbies" are new players ONLY. "Noobs" and n00bs" are fools who beg constantly, shut the bank doors, etc. "Newbs" can also be "noobs", but not ALL "newbs" are "noobs". Understand?
The Few. The Proud. The Jews.

There's no "official" RS dictionary Grimmy... you go by your names, I'll go by mine
n00b - ANY type of rulebreaker that knows he/ she is breaking the rules, or an *insert expletive/ insult of your choice here*
newb - New player that lacks game knowledge.
newbie - Player has game knowledge, but is a low level compared to how much knowledge they have.
ch00b - (you choose to be a n00b) Someone who is being a n00b for no purpose other than to piss people off.
ch00blet - Level-3 ch00b that's too much of a sissy to risk his/ her REAL character.
