Since many people both in and out of SeeD have been asking, I made this FAQ thingy.

• Nobody knows what this year's holiday drops will be except JAGeX Staff.
• Future holiday drops will be non-tradable, soulbound, and limited to 1 per person.
• Drops will occur randomly all over the RuneScape world, including tutorial island and the wilderness. If you are online when the drop occurs, you will receive a system message to alert you and the items will appear within a minute or so. IF YOU RECEIVE THE SYSTEM MESSAGE, YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND ONE TO PICK UP.
• Drops will probably occur about once an hour, all day long, according to GMT (5 hours ahead of eastern time, 6 hours ahead of central time, 7 hours ahead of mountain time, 8 hours ahead of pacific time)

Any further questions I cannot answer. Once they start dropping, JAGeX will make a news post for more information.

By the way, I'm getting up an hour early for this drop

Nah, dropping points are completely random. Spaces between drops range from 3 minutes to 3 hours.

3 hours between drops?!?!?! So its unlikely we all get one?!

PS. I'm on and searching... or does the post at the top say that they'll tell me when a drop occurs... man.. too much excitement.. too many questions.

OK... I got one. I won't tell you what it is.. unless you message me online and ask (drivier)....

Tip:

You will get a server message (mine said Boo).
Close the window as soon as possible.
Go to your map.. and run to a red dot in a weird place.. and hope its right.

OK peoples, I just got one. The holiday drop is *drumroll* A SCYTHE! it is weildable and gives 10 wapon power and aim!

they'll drop them again death snake. Just keep trying. I got mine within 10 seconds of the first drop, so thats fairly good. I was in edgeville, found one, then switched to another character and got one there too. When they are dropped they are dropped a lot, just gotta find them at the right time. The scythe looks cool, if we can all get one we can use it as part of a clan outfit.
