I've just visited the black demons in Edgeville and took my monk robes, dragon ammy, gauntlets, silverlight, dragon axe and holy symbol. Anyway, I arrive in Lumbridge with my dragon axe, holy symbol, dragon ammy and gauntlets (you keep these when you die). I thought 'darn, my silverlight!' and teleported back to Edgeville, battled through the mess and saw another pair of gauntlets mixed in with my robes... I thought you were only supposed to get one pair?

Heh... interesting. All in all you get two of something you're only supposed to have one of... must be buggish, you lost your gauntlets AND retained them at the same time.

You said you went to Edgeville and to pick up your stuff again? If so, it's quite simple: You got a pair when you died, but you also dropped the pair you had, and picked those up as well. I don't think it's a bug, but I don't think it was intended, either.

You can always get a second pair of guanlets if you get back fast enough, it's been put on Scapeboard a few times before. However, if you get two pairs of steel guantlets, you can only enchant one pair. The second pair won't work.
