Do you know what a cracker is? My definition of cracker in hacker terms is a file (usually executionable) that tests random variables inside of a login screen, that keeps testing until it finds matching data. A.K.A. It guesses passwords by each digit until they have the right digit. What do you think he means by cracker?

QUOTE ("SeeD Emblems Guide" @ SeeD Main Page)
Prevent a scam in the name of SeeD (provide screenshot); be sure to mention SeeD somehow, for it improves our standing in Runescape as well as your own: 1 Emblem
If emblems were rewarded just for taking a screenie of someone scamming, we could all obtain infinite numbers emblems just by standing around Varrock and hitting the PrintScreen button.
The word "cracker", as used in RuneScape, refers to a Christmas cracker. A cracking program for RS passwords would not work a) because of the nature of Java encoding b) because JaGEx limits the number of unsuccessful logins you can make. The guy in the screenshot is selling a legitimate RS item. (It may be a duped, but JaGEx has only suggested that we refrain from trading in holiday items, not banned it.)

Why is everybody on my case? About the having to mention seed, I talked to Cspace on aim and he said as long as I tried to stop them. Second, Base I believe agrees with me that he is more than likely saying p/w cracker. So what my estimates were wrong. Mabye he is using it for some other game than runescape. But still, saying "Cracker" in the duping part of runescape where people call password crackers cracks, cracker, crack, etc...

I have bought and sold items at Varrock Castle for several months before this scandal happened. It is the high-value items trading area, not the "duping" area-- I have seen "crackers" bought and sold numerous times-- it's juat an easy way of saying "Chritmas cracker". If someone were to try selling a PW "cracker", he would have a very difficult time, because everybody there would think he had a holiday drop for sale.
QUOTE ("www.runescape.com")
It has come to our attention that someone has worked out a way of duplicating or creating items in RuneScape unfairly. Particularly it seems they are doing this with christmas-crackers which produce party hats.

Theres no proof of what he meant. He could have meant what I am saying or what you are saying. Unless you can prove 100% he meant that then we will never know. He could have meant christmas cracker and he could not have meant that. *Reccomended to be closed.*

Lets see...
1) You should get emblems for sitting in world 1, and taking screenies. There is not one bit of evidence to show u actually did anything except for screenies.
2) I dont think sitting in varrock saying "do not dupe" etc will get u any emblems at all. If you did that you could have 1000s an hour.
3) Selling crackers is allowed.
