Recently, a lot of conflicts have been sprouting in SeeD chat. to prevent this, I demand that every mod starts using 1, 2, 3. Basically, you tell them "that's 1" "That's two" and when they get to three, you kick them. If they come back and contine, put them on the ban list until they can be evaluated.

Only do this if they start, add to, or are in a conflict, and only if you feel that they are causing a problem. Can be used for swearing, mass flooding, or insulting (flaming, trolling) as well.

I suggest using this for a while, hopefully people can get a few screenshots to report to higher authorites such as Star Jedi and Cspace. It'll be sort of a test run.

Hm.....

1. The report system would work fabulously I think.

2. Banning them from the chat would work great.

3. Bigbro plz dont say that about other members...

Thats about it...

I have a sugestion. it is posible to get a bot that will monitor a channel like seedchat (seedchat is a mIRC right?) if it is, you can program the bot to kick somone who swears three times, floods (6 posts without interspaceing by other persons) and other usfull and fun things (i was on a chat that had a quotebot, that had over 300 interesting quotes from movies, plays, funny moments in chat, ect.) this would help a lot because only mods can turn off the bot, the bot canot be kicked exept by a mod, and the bot is alway's there. that alows the rules to be maintained even if there are no mods on the system at the moment. these bots can be found on links from the mIRC website. (oh one other thing, you have to be a mod to bring a bot into a channel typicaly, but that may be a setting on the channel)

Who knows, the bots might even be programmed by Cspace to wreak terror around the internet. I'm never in SeeD chat with more than about 2 or 3 other people, so I don't tend to see this much... But it sounds like a great idea, from what i've heard from others this is becoming quite a large problem...

i've yet to see one take over a chat.. and i've seen a lot of them. it's just a handy and easy way to moderate when everyone else is asleep.
