Thirteenth Riddle Thing: Here's a picture:

Shown above are 4 men buried up to their necks in the ground.
They cannot move so can only look forward.
Between A and B is a brick wall which cannot be seen through.
They all know that between them they are wearing 4 hats, 2 x black and 2 x white, but they do not know what colour they are wearing.
In order to avoid being shot one of them must call out to the executioner the colour of their hat. If they get it wrong, everyone will be shot.
They are not allowed to talk to each other and have 10 minutes to fathom it out.
After 1 minute, one of them calls out.
Question: Which one of them calls out?
Question: Why is he 100% certain of the colour of his hat?
This is not a trick question.
There are no outside influences nor other ways of communicating. They cannot move and are buried in a straight line. So A & B can only see their respective sides of the wall, C can see B, and D can see B & C
That is from a site, but to avoid you going to the site to get the answer I uploaded it to the Anti-Cheese Revolution site first...

I can never see your images... I'm gonna lose.
edit: I can see it now
Alright, I'm gonna guess C will answer. Obviously, A and B are incapable of answering, so either C or D can. D can see B and C, but not A. D will see that both B and C do not have the same color hat, so either A or himself has the second white or second black hat. He cannot be 100 percent sure, so he cannot guess. This accounts for the one minute of silence before the answer. Because D doesn't guess, C figures out that the two hats he and B are wearing are not the same. If they were, D would know what color his hat was, and would've guess correctly by now. (It is still somewhat of a gamble, if D was mentally incompotent.) C sees that B is whereing a white hat, so he then knows he must be wearing a black one. I hope you can follow this, it is a rather abstract train of thought. It does have a minor flaw in the answer. It took me forever to get this, so I hope I am right.

C calls out he has a black hat
C is the only one because neither A or B can determine the color of their hats
and D doesnt call out since b and c dont have the same color hats which makes d unsure of his hat color so A B and D are all silent so C calls out that he has a black hat
otherwise D would call out what color hat he has

man thats a lot of typing
