Merry Christmas fellow SeeDs!
I've decided to organize the classical Christmas game Secret Santa for SeeD. It will be organized a little differently though to make it more exciting and interesting.
Before I get started explaining it all, I'll put the "Secret Santas List" at the top of this post for easy view. To sign up and get your name in the list below, you'll have to reply to this post. Remember to read everything below the list first though so that you know all the rules and if you want to participate. And remember that if you sign up for this you will receive gifts from a Secret Santa and have to give gifts yourself (that will all be explained later on).

Okay, now to explain how this works. As most of you know, Secret Santa is a Christmas activity where people secretly purchase a gift for another (that they have been assigned to) and the gifts are given out to everyone who will not know who gave it to them. It's always fun to fool others and see if they can guess who gave them the gift.
Now to tell you what's going to be different. Instead of everone giving their person one gift, they will leave little notes and gifts in the forums and Runescape. There of course will be one big gift at the end. This is how it will work:
To leave a note in the forums, you can edit the post in your person's post (if they started a thread, edit their first post since they should notice it since they started the topic) and leave a little note saying "Merry Christmas from your Secret Santa!" or something like that. You can also leave a hint like "I have the following official SeeD titles. . .". If you're not a moderator you can ask me (since I won't be participating) or someone you can trust to edit your person's post and leave a note and hint if you want. As for small gifts in the forums, you'll have to go to me (or another super moderator) and have them edit your person's signature and maybe add in a cool image (a small one though) with a note under it that says "From You Secret Santa!" So everyone should keep an eye on their signatures and posts if they're participating in this.
If you don't like it you can of course take it out though. and if you don't have an image to enter into their signature, you can just have the super moderator leave a little note (with a hint if you want) and the person can take it out once they see it.Now for notes and gifts in Runescape. This will either be a little easier or a little harder than leaving notes and gifts in the forums. To leave a note, you can have a friend (not a SeeD) walk up to your person when they're on and say "Merry Christmas from your Secret Santa!". They can also give out a hint or give them a little gift (that you have given your friend). If you are unable to get a friend outside of SeeD to do this, you use another character to do this. The reason why you shouldn't have anyone in SeeD to do it is because they'll know who you have and the person can eliminate one person off their list for possible Secret Santas.
You should of course make sure the gifts are decent, but not big like rune. If you want you can give me the gift (and message) and I'll give it to them in Runescape when I catch them on. Finally comes the main gift. You should make sure that this gift is pretty decent (at least 5k). Yes, that means the gift will be in Runescape. All main gifts go to me. I will store them for everyone, so you can give me the main gift at any time and I'll keep of track of what which gift is for who and who gave it to me. Everyone will keep giving notes and small gifts (secretly of course
) until Saturday, January 3. So you need to have your main gift in by that date. Since it's the most important, you should make sure you get the main gift first. If you don't have your main gift in by then, the main gift that was to go to you from your Secret Santa will be returned to them and you will get nothing also.On the day of January 3, we will meet at 2:00pm eastern time in the Falador Mansion on World 9. There I will pass out the main gifts to everyone and they can try to guess who they have. At the end I will tell everyone who their Secret Santas were though (unless you don't want me to
). If I don't show up then I'll give the gifts out when i catch people on (I'll meet up with them and give them their gifts). I can also give them out to SeeDs at one of the Christmas events (if I can come to those, lol). And if some people don't show up I'll just give them their gift when I catch them online. What we do after the gifts are passed out and I tell everyone who their Sceret Santas are is up to guys. Now that I've explained how you'll be leaving notes and gifts for your person, I'll tell you how you will be assigned to someone. Remember that if you sign up you'll be given a Secret Santa and you will be a Secret Santa. I'm giving everyone until Monday, December 22 to sign up for this. I'm sorry for the short amount of time to sign up, but the Chrsitmas is coming near and I don't want this to finish too late after Christmas or people will no longer have their Christmas spirits (it will still be ending after Chrstmas though). So as soon as I come onto the forums on December 20, no one can sign up anymore and I'll edit the Secret Santas List for the last time. Yet if I am not here on December 20, then everyone will have extra time to sign up because the next time I'm on is when it ends.
When everyone can no longer sign up, I'll assign all participants to people. To do this, I'll will place all the participants' names in a basket and pull out names randomly for each person. You'll just have to trust me on this one (it doesn't really matter anyways on who you get). I will be sends private messages to all participants telling them who they will be giving small gifts, notes, and one big gift at the end.
And another thing to add on to this game. If you think you know who your Secret Santa is, you can pm me who you think it is. if you guess right you get 1k!
The catch is you get only one chance to guess, and it must be before January 3rd (when this all ends).As a last note, I want everyone to know that they must not tell anyone who they have. If you do they might tell that person and it ruins it. Anyone that gives away someone's identity will be disqualified from this. And if you guess who your Secret Santa (when you pm me and I reply saying you guessed right) you still can't tell them you know they are your Secret Santa. It will ruin it and the person will be discouraged to keep sending notes, hints, and gifts.
After reading all that I'll tell you the main information.
